I was looking at both yesterday, and it seemed to me that the Z20 has a much
larger lens.  Is that just an optical illusion (no pun intended)?  Or does
it have to do with the Z20's being stationary and the S2 extends, and is one
better than the other for photo quality?

I've got an FZ-20 and I'm mostly happy with it. The only real
disappoinment is its low-light performance due to the small
sensor. But I wasn't really in the market for an SLR: they're out of

I got a new FZ5 camera on Friday. I've been trying it out in simple
mode and more often than not the camera will not focus. I've even tried
pushing the shutter halfway down and supposedly setting the focus that
way (it doesn't help). I might understand if it was all close things,

The Canon S1 was known to have bad purple fringing.  I think that is
called chromatic abberation but not sure.  Does anyone know if that was
completely corrected in the Canon S2?

though I thought of going for a Panasonic Z series, and I'm disappointed
with flourescent-lit (and well lit) indoor action shots.  If I set the
