Panasonic FZ-4, FZ-531 Mar 2005 15:50 GMT5
These cameras were announced over a month ago, has anyone actually seen one,
used one, etc yet?  I live in Edmonton, Canada, stores say they will be
getting them as they are listed as being ordered, but no one has them yet.
If anyone has purchased, what are the prices like?
Panasonic DMC-FZ2028 Mar 2005 12:52 GMT17
Just bought the DMC-FZ20 to replace a Fuji FP4900Zoom and the inital
impressions are interesting.  Firstly, it makes me realise how
advanced the 4900Zoom was in 2000 when it was introduced.
The 4900Zoom ergonomics were/are excellent - although the FZ20 is
Panasonic FZ20 and Nikon speedlights26 Mar 2005 03:04 GMT3
I would be interested in hearing people's experiences with using Nikon
Speedlights on their Panasonic FZ20. Were the results OK? Any special
settings required? Any special tips that might be helpful?
I'm particularly interested in learning how the SB-24, SB-26, SB-28, SB-80,
FZ20 Lens Movement25 Mar 2005 22:48 GMT6
Just been playing with my new FZ20 and noticed that there is a
noticeable radial lens movement - laterally and vertically (in fact in
all directions) when the lens is extended after switching on. This
movement is in the order of 2-3mm. It is not a lens movement in or out
Trouble inserting 40x 512mb memory card into Nikon 540024 Mar 2005 14:46 GMT1
I just bought a Nikon Coolpix 5400 from B&H Photo.  For a good price I got
it "bundled" with a Lexar 512mb "WA" 40x memory card.
The 16mb memory card that came with the camera pops right into the slot
with a satisfying feel that lets you know it's snug, but the 512mb card
Minolta A2 and microdrives24 Mar 2005 02:19 GMT1
Just wondering if anyone has timed how quickly (or slowly) the Minolta
A2 writes to an Hitachi 3K4 4Gb. microdrive.
I have done some testing using flash cards and would like to hear the
differences using flash cards or microdrives especially at the RAW setting.
Who makes the fastest super-zoom camerea?  20 Mar 2005 12:13 GMT8
I was about to purchase the FZ20 till I saw the lag times/write speeds.
This is just unacceptable to me; I can deal with a slow start-up, but
having to wait sereval seconds between shots is a deal breaker. Much of
the photos I'll be done while mountain biking with friends... ...
question about the group...16 Mar 2005 19:48 GMT5
I'm going to assume, despite objections from the likes of Mr. Pitanga and
company, that questions related to my Sony F717 are perfectly on topic in
this newsgroup?
Canon Powershot S1 SI -- opinions & experiences wanted...........16 Mar 2005 08:10 GMT12
I'm interested in opinions of any Canon Powershot S1 SI owners out there?
Were you satisfied? Pleasently surprised? What things might you do
differently? I am thinking of purchasing one here in Canada.
Thanx, in advance.
Replacement for FP 4900 Zoom07 Mar 2005 17:33 GMT1
Hi,
I am looking to upgrade from a 4 year old Fuji Finepix 4900Zoom which
has gone missing and wonder what to go for.
The short list appears to be:
F-stop range07 Mar 2005 17:04 GMT8
Why do some these cameras only stop down to f-8?
The ZLRs I own07 Mar 2005 13:16 GMT33
I thought I would post something germain to the topic of this newsgroup.
First the Sony F828:
The BIGGY with this camera for people who are thinking of getting it is
probably the "purple fringing" (sometimes, I think, incorrectly called ca).
Konica Minolta A2 vs A20007 Mar 2005 13:07 GMT4
What is the difference between the A2 & A200? I first thought that the A200
was the successor to the A2, but I see that the A2 is still more expensive.
Thanks,
Hark
Panasonic FZ Books or Articles06 Mar 2005 09:45 GMT3
I bought myself a digial camera for Christmas.  A Panasonic FZ15.  I'm
finding my knowledge lacking and the manual that came with the camera just
isn't very in-depth.  Most of the information is of the "how" variety and
I'm looking for more "why" and "when do I need to use this" ...
