Every time I switch, from the menu's, to Single Area auto focus mode, then
switch from Auto into something else, then back, it always changes af mode
back to closest subject. I don't recal it doing that in the past? any ideas?

Which one is better. Yes I know that Tamron AF 200-500 F5-6,3 Di LD IF is a
zoom lens and SONY 500/8 REFLEX is not but  which one gives better photos.

Thought someone here might find this info useful. I asked in here some  
time back which filter I needed and never got a a definitive answer and was
told it might not even work on the E510 properly, but it does if you use
the below method.

GOOD!  Figures it would be Olympus, they seem to innovate a lot faster
than some "other" companies I could name.

85mm 1.4 manual focus optics on parr with the best available optics.
Price $200-300 dollars.
Versus say the Nikon 1.8 AF. Price $400.

I have a D300 nikon, I am an amateur photographer.
I was about to buy the Sigma 150-500mm until it hit me,  should I get

You can see, even with the best software, image degradation when
correcting perspective, etc.  How about shift lenses?

I have killfiled D-Mac, Annika1980, Rita and RichA... yet I am still

Hi, I recently bought a Canon EOS 400D with the kit 18-70 lens, but
now I'm looking at something longer.  For convenience, an 18-200 zoom
would be good and I've been looking at the Sigma lenses.  There's one
with Optocal Stabilisation and one without and the difference in price
