Every time I switch, from the menu's, to Single Area auto focus mode, then switch from Auto into something else, then back, it always changes af mode back to closest subject. I don't recal it doing that in the past? any ideas?

Which one is better. Yes I know that Tamron AF 200-500 F5-6,3 Di LD IF is a zoom lens and SONY 500/8 REFLEX is not but which one gives better photos.

Looking at the following: 85mm 1.4 manual focus optics on parr with the best available optics. Price $200-300 dollars. Versus say the Nikon 1.8 AF. Price $400.

I have a D300 nikon, I am an amateur photographer. I was about to buy the Sigma 150-500mm until it hit me, should I get the Nikor 18-200mm VR II with a doubler? the price is about the same for both option. Any recommendations?

Hi, I recently bought a Canon EOS 400D with the kit 18-70 lens, but now I'm looking at something longer. For convenience, an 18-200 zoom would be good and I've been looking at the Sigma lenses. There's one with Optocal Stabilisation and one without and the difference in price
