Did you really mean to say that, Joe?28 Aug 2008 19:36 GMT1
Joe McNally in his blog mentioned his forthcoming book, "The Hot Shoe
Diaries." I plan on being among the first to buy it. But -- he has this
to say:
"Another is I’ve been writing like a banshee on my new book, due in

I have a Canon 30D + 17-85IS lens. I shoot mainly jpeg+raw with Av

Golf team pictures28 Aug 2008 16:25 GMT1
I was lately shooting pictures on golf tournament. As each team approached
tee box on one hole. I was making picture of four golfers standing in one
row.
I used Canon XT and my Sigma 18-200 at Av mode F6.3 ISO200. Most shots was
Hood for Tokina 12-24 f/428 Aug 2008 04:05 GMT11
I lost the original hood for my Tokina AT-X 124 AF Pro Dx lens.  I
think the original hood was model BH-777.  B&H has a hood and that
model number is BH-779.  Does anyone know what the difference between
those two hoods are?  Anyone know where I can find the BH-777?  I've
Old news: Sigma 50/1.428 Aug 2008 01:20 GMT6
There is a two page "article" (actually an extended ad by Sigma) on this
lens in one of this month's Japanese camera magazines. It's bigger, heavier,
and more expensive than the 50/1.4 lenses made by Nikon and Canon and
everyone else, so what gives?
BAD NEWS FOR THE 40D!27 Aug 2008 00:47 GMT19
Bad news, sports fans!
Rob Galbraith has declared on his site that "the EOS 40D is not a
viable sports camera."
He says it cannot reliably be used to get sharp action shots.
a real camera news group26 Aug 2008 19:10 GMT18
Is there a real camera news group or forum somwehere, that simply deals with
photography, use of cameras, technique, tips and ideas about photography?
I must say that i am sick to the teeth of the news groups at present that
seem to be carrying political (off topic messages) in ...

Higher prices* than in the UK over the counter with tax and duty paid,
effective warranty etc.
Fake so who knows if radio control, perpetual movements or water resistance
50D and 7D leaked on Canon Chinese Web Site25 Aug 2008 20:25 GMT27
They took them down, but not before people captured the specs. Appeared
to be authentic, but who knows?

7D: 18 megapixel, 5 FPS, CF & SD, Live View

catalog NEF RAW files -  only24 Aug 2008 02:27 GMT13
Hello all, I have what might seem a weird question... is there any software
that I can tell to go out to all my drives and catalog ONLY the .nef files ?
Or some software that I can filter out everything else?
I would like to entertain both free software and paid software.
