Having fun with new lenses.17 Jul 2008 08:51 GMT4
Last month I picked up the Nikon 85mm f/1.4 portrait lens and I love
it.  The photos are absolutely stunning.  One day, I might actually be
good enough to make some money with it but that's not my priority at
the moment.  I just want to get better at taking photos and having fun

Remote Control software for Nikon DSLR (besides Capture)16 Jul 2008 03:12 GMT4
Is there a reasonable remote control software available for a
D200(/D700) other than Nikon's own Capture? In an ideal world there'd be
a little bluetooth dongle on the camera and each shot shows up on the
laptop for inspection.

I have a Sony A-100 with a Tamron AF 18-250/3.5-6.3 DI II Macro Lens

can.  I am at the point where I like the manual setting to control the
f-stop and shutter speed to control the image more then using all the

Help: Pentax System choices14 Jul 2008 04:30 GMT1
I've been beating my head over choosing lenses to go with my shiny "new"
K10D. Due to factors beyond my control, whatever I get now I have to
live with for at least a year (and quite possibly a lot longer, if my
better half has her way :P ) At the moment, I have a K10D and an old
A few birds of Assateague14 Jul 2008 00:32 GMT4
Stopped at Assateague while returning home after the 4th and managed to get
a few decent shots before becoming a food source for the voracious mayflies
on the Life in the Dunes loop.

Rebel XTI - Continuous Shooting Mode?13 Jul 2008 17:14 GMT7
I have a Canon Rebel XTI. The manual says I can put it in continuous
shooting mode using the drive button, but continuous mode is not one
of the choices. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Isn't it funny?11 Jul 2008 00:58 GMT7
After the war on terror got underway, people accused the U.S.
government of taking "rights" away from the people. And yet where do
you SEE most of the incidents that have to do with this?  The
SOCIALIST states like Britain and now Greece.  Every WEEK there is

Better customer experience at B&H than Adorama07 Jul 2008 18:38 GMT133
I admit it, I'm an old Adorama customer from decades ago when I used to live
in NYC, but two experiences in the last two days may have switched me.
First, Adorama still doesn't have stock of the Nikon D300 and B&H did.  Okay
first purchase.  Then I was surfing the B&H web site ...
350D replacement06 Jul 2008 19:35 GMT3
My lovely Canon 350D has taken around 12,000 pics. No problems so far:
1. Is there any idea how many pics the 350D is likely to take before
"failing"?
2. If I go for a replacement - what are the main advantages of the 40D vs
Sony A10006 Jul 2008 02:17 GMT15
Hi,I am new to the forum and DSLR's. I had started out with a cyber-shot then
a H1. Now I recently purchased a A100. I would like to gradually increase my
experience with digital photography. I know the A100 is not the best but I
wanted to initiate my experience with it. I have read ...
