I'm trying to help a 13 year old interested in wildlife photography with choosing a new camera. My thought is a used DSLR with an old manual focus fast-ish long-ish telephoto lens. Like maybe a 300mm f/4 or ideally something around a $200 beater lens I'm guessing.

My Nikkor 18-200 VR doesn't focus at 200mm, other lens Sigma 70-200 2.8 II no problems at 200. Is this a 'hardware' problem? Peter

I've got a rotating polarizer filter stuck to my uv filter on my camera. I don't remember over-tightening it, but it's been on there for 1.5 years with no removal. I can't get it unstuck, and neither could the guys at the camera store

I have a Sony A-100 and bought a Tamron AF 18-250/3.5-6.3 DI II Macro Lens and really enjoy the system. One thing I have wanted to get into was taking some tight closeup macro shots (bugs, flowers, etc) and keep a decent depth of field without breaking the bank. Does anyone

Let's say you doing soccer team portrait. Would you you use wide agle lens and come closer to team or zoom them from longer distance?
