Take the digital challenge18 May 2008 09:00 GMT8
That's right!
I know this is one of those burning issues that people just can't make up
their minds on.  Which camera takes better pics, the Canon A720 or the Nikon
D3?

Hi . I have recently moved over to digital. My problem is I have a full
frame Nikon fisheye lens 16mm F2.8 AFD , Its designed for a 35mm  film
camera (FF) it projects an image that has a field of view of 180degress
across the diagonal of the 35mm frame(FF).
Auto download Bridge16 May 2008 15:17 GMT9
Before I used to put a card my cardreader and pronto: Adobe Photo Downloader
opened.
Probably I changed something, because now it doesn't open anymore.
I can't find anything useful with Google. Does anyone know what to change so
Samsung/Pentax possible FF sensor on way?16 May 2008 12:20 GMT1
Sony will beat the to the punch, but S/P already have the 15 MP 1.5x
sensor in the K20D/GX20 so I'm assuming this one must be FF.  Plus,
who is "Omnivision?"
Samsung said to soon introduce 14.6-megapixel CMOS image sensor

Lens recommendation ???15 May 2008 19:01 GMT9
I am a new user of a Canon 40D. I purchased a kit with a 28-135 Zoom.
I need a wide angle possible equivalent to a 28mm lens on a 35mm camera.
What lens would give me the most bang for the buck. I'd like to retain the
auto focus features. Image stabilization isn't necessary.
Nikon D60 vs. D100 Exif15 May 2008 05:15 GMT2
I have D60 and D100. When shooting in Program Mode on each camera, the D60
Exif info on the PC shows ISO speed, but the D100 does not. This is using
the built-in Exif vewing in Vista.
Both cameras themselves show the ISO speed in the Exif into on-camera.
Nikon D80 vs D6015 May 2008 04:52 GMT49
Can any one help me out~ I've read that the D60 is a step up from the D40x
but can't find anything on the D60 vs the D80! Which one is better?? I'm new
to these cameras, but don't wan't to spend more money in a year or two
because I bought a cheaper one!! thanks!
Sensor Cleaning and  Dead Pixels14 May 2008 23:46 GMT11
Can prolonged sensor cleaning (ultrasonic ) kill pixels ?
I have my camera(D300) set to clean the sensor ever time the camera is
switched on . can this damage the sensor ?
Sony / minolta lens question14 May 2008 22:19 GMT14
Will a Minolta 50mm 1.7 work with AF on a Sony Alpha?
I see it has 5 contacts, versus the A lenses 8 contacts. But they seems at
the right place. Maybe the other contacts are for distance info?
Is 12 megapixels "it" for the 1.5 sensor?14 May 2008 13:00 GMT12
Reports of multiple dead/hot pixels with the Pentax K20D 15 megapixel
1.5 crop sensor are appearing.  But then if 15 on a 1.5 were the
reason the Pentax CMOS is apparently having problems, wouldn't you
expect even more of it in the Olympus NMOS sensors since the pixel

Canon 10-22 part 314 May 2008 00:09 GMT27
Hmm.
I have this lens for a second day. Having Sigma 18-200 I'm asking myself why
I need C10-22 if wide end make such a huge distortion.
Some guys criticise Sigma for pic quality, but so far I'm happy with my
How to choose a monitor for photography?13 May 2008 19:35 GMT19
I'm looking for a larger monitor than my current 17" CRT. That will mean a
flat screen one  - and I believe there are now two technologies to choose
from. Which is the one to look at?
Also, I read that cheaper monitors can't be calibrated to match the colour
