I have passed 9999 images being taken with my Nikon D70.  No big deal, but now the
folders and file names are rest to _0000  I guess because Nikon failed to make the
fifth digit available for 10,000  10,001  etc. etc... is there any way to make the

*istDS thumbwheel20 May 2008 19:02 GMT2

zoom in, for example, often will zoom in 3 levels then jump back two
levels. The problems is also there when adjusting the shutter speed or
aperture, but is less pronounced. Has anyone who has had this problem

Auto and program settings on non-DSLR camera's.19 May 2008 22:35 GMT9
This is about compact camera's and not SLR's. I still think this is the
right group, because here you know what the question is about.
How are iso, shuttertime and diafragm choosen on a compact camera in auto or
program mode.

I want to replace a 58mm lens cap with the type that has the buttons in the
front rather than on the rim. Would you recommend a particular brand?
Thanks.

When is the biggest MYTH about DSLRs going to DIE?19 May 2008 04:08 GMT2
That colour fringing is due in some cases to "the sensor."  What
complete rubbish!  Designed to EXCUSE the poor CA performance of
certain lenses.  I just read a review of the Pentax K20D in Amateur
Photography magazine and it perpetuated this nonsense.   The harmful

Am I the only one who knows you can use program mode to set shutter

Alpha A-100 and starting to use RAW and digitally edit, this takes
some major storage space on the ol' PC.  When I save my images from my
camera I just use what I always have, I have a sub-folder under
