Dumb question. At the following site the final ratings are given as five stars. Sometimes the last star is an outline. http://www.photozone.de/

| Compatibility Question | 27 May 2008 03:02 GMT | 4 |
I have a Minolta 650SI with a couple of Minolta autofocus lenses and a Minolta 5400HS flash. My questions is will the flash work on a Sony A350 or A700? I'm pretty sure the lenses will.

Hey Focus... Just wanted to say, don't let the hecklers fluster you. I enjoy your posts on this newsgroup and I'm sure there are many others that do to. It takes guts to post your photos on this sometimes venomous pit. I admire

Dear news group, I'd like to apologize for the posts of my retarded son, Jerry, (who we call Jerry-can as a nickname, since his pants are always wet...) I'm afraid it's my fault he's so retarded, being a crack whore and all.

| Flashgun recommendations please | 25 May 2008 20:23 GMT | 17 |
I have a Canon EOS400D and I wish to purchase a flashgun. Doing the research I have narrowed it down to a choice between a Sigma EF-530 DG ST or Sigma EF-530 DG SUPER. The only extras I can see on the Super is wireless slave facility and

| The controversy concerning cropped sensor vs standard lenses as to distance compression. | 25 May 2008 01:14 GMT | 11 |
Some people, including myself, have often wondered if a cropped sensor image is actually equal to the resulting mm gain in the lens. In other words, does a 300mm lens on a 1.5 crop factor camera actually equal a 450mm lens on a standard camera?

I added a gallery with photographs from Utah and Arizona to my website. A well known area, of course, but maybe still interesting to have a look: www.hsphotography.nl.

| Kudos to Adobe - CS3 | 24 May 2008 16:21 GMT | 22 |
Some time ago I wrote to Adobe (via the support page) and asked if I could transfer my CS3 license from Windows to Mac OS X. I forgot about it for a while but just checked in and lo and behold, yes, you can do that. It took about 20 minutes on the phone with an Indian sounding ...

| Rebel XT Flash Question | 23 May 2008 19:08 GMT | 1 |
According to the manual, XT's E-TTL flash will work even in M mode. If I understand correctly about E-TTL, it relies on a pre-flash to evaluate how much flash power to release in the subsequent flash when the shutter opens. If this were the case, then a typical studio slave

| Is shutter failure imminent? | 22 May 2008 16:30 GMT | 14 |
This afternoon I was taking pictures with my Rebel XT. On one shot, the shutter didn't make the usual noise -- it was higher pitched and shorter than normal. At that point the display read "Err 99", which according to the manual is a "none of the above" error. It also says

| Deleting AA filter, seems to provide some benefit | 22 May 2008 15:37 GMT | 5 |
So, I wonder if when this is done (apart from the moire you'll get more of) what kind of measurable effect it would have on resolution? I've heard it is about the same as going from a 10-16 meg camera. This thread has some examples.
