| Samsung GX20 anyone? | 31 May 2008 23:01 GMT | 14 |
If so, what do you think of it - iso noise, exposure, af, build, functions, etc? I know it has pixel remap, image stabiliser, lens focal plane, sensor clean, water resistance, iso range, etc., so am intersted in its operation. It is quite abot cheaper than the Pentax K20D in the ...

| Sony A350 flash question | 31 May 2008 20:40 GMT | 19 |
I got the HVL 42 flash yesterday. Works great, but I don't understand: I can't use or change red eye reduction. It's ghosted and reads off. With the built in flash I can choose. What's the story here?

| Pictures seem sharper with flash. | 31 May 2008 17:41 GMT | 13 |
I have an OlympusE500 with the standard kit lens and I notice that the results are in better focus when I use the pop-up flash. Is there any reason for this? PJ

| Canon 70-200mm test result on dpreview - soft wide open even on cropped sensor | 31 May 2008 04:15 GMT | 11 |
This looks like what I'd expect from 80-200mm zoom from the 1980s. With ED, fluorite, etc and aspherics, can they for the price they charge produce a lens that actually works WELL at f2.8?? Apart from better colour error control, the image looks a lot like what I got

| New Website for Rare Lens - Looking for other Reviews | 30 May 2008 21:53 GMT | 1 |
I have made a website for the Nikon 58mm Noct-Nikkor f/1.2 Lens, which is quite rare and I'm working on a page of other web review links (share the love). I've gotten a few from Google Searches but I'm wondering if anyone else knows of reviews on this lens that may be

| Focus past infinity? | 30 May 2008 19:02 GMT | 19 |
I'm reading a review of a lens (http://www.bythom.com/24120ens.htm) which says, "As with all ED lenses, the lens often focuses past infinity under normal temperature conditions." What does it mean to focus past infinity? Is this a good thing or a bad thing?

| Anybody have direct experience on the Canon EOS Rebel Xsi? | 30 May 2008 01:48 GMT | 141 |
Read an advance look in, I think, Popular Photography on the Rebel Xsi and was intrigued and highly interested in it to replace my 3 year-old Rebel XT. There's nothing wrong with the Rebel and it's 8 mega pixels are enough, but I see great advantes for the 3" LCD especially in ...

| A good walking arround Zoom for Nikon | 29 May 2008 09:55 GMT | 49 |
Me again. I am leaning heavily toward the D300 for my first DSLR. I went to a camera store and did a more complete side-by-side comparison of the D300 and 5D. I liked the 5D more than I remembered, but the side

| Took a peek at the Canon Xsi in a camera store today... | 29 May 2008 06:05 GMT | 1 |
Just for fun, since I don't own Canons, but I remembered that thread by that HEMI-roid character who claimed that the camera had some switches on the body behind the lens, the "lens mount barrel" of tha camera, I think he said. And he argued with everyone who tried to tell him the ...

| Which DSLR to start with | 28 May 2008 19:18 GMT | 44 |
I don't currently have a DSLR and have been saving for a full-frame DSLR, presumably the EOS 5D replacement this fall (assuming it exists that is). I cannot bring myself to spend 2K on an older model ... my ego is in the way here ...

| Focus - Thanks for SimpleViewer | 28 May 2008 01:20 GMT | 13 |
I picked it up from your pages. It is what the name implies, a simple viewer, and I'm not sure it's the best way to display photography, but I'm playing around with it. Definitely has its uses, such as my walkabout on the Chanticleer Estate with
