Im about to buy my first DSLR.. how long would it before its outdated This does concern me as its hard earned cash Should I go for the Top end or a model thats just about to be superceeded hence its cheap.

The Nikon D3 latest firmware release has clear reference to 6048x4032 pixel size option, and "D3X" name in the code. Of course it could just be Nikon's programmers version of a practical joke ;-0

Nikon D60 gets it's clock cleaned. Olympus 4/3rds would lose big time. Noise for the 2/3rds is still high, but detail is amazing. Unfortunately, you get the normal horrible chromatic aberration that all superzoom P&Ss have. There is just so much money they can put

Judging by the quality of some newspaper colour pictures, someone must be making a camera suited to one-shot HDR photos. This would involve a camera with 3 (or more)

When editing and saving in CS3, many componets of EXIF data are lost (i.e focal lenght) Maybe there is and option in CS3 preferences to keep focal lenght but I couldn't find.
