Adobe tried to steal photos from users?31 Mar 2008 16:13 GMT5
Apparently, some did not like their T&Cs when it came to their new
"online" image program.  This is the thin edge here, people being
lulled by companies like Microsoft to use "online" tools not knowing
what these companies actually have in mind. "Ownership of things is an

Nikon D70 File Problem.....29 Mar 2008 15:43 GMT8
I have a Nikon D70 that I was using to take photos yesterday using a 512
Mb flash card which was formatted in the camera since the usage. I set
the camera to save the photos in "Raw + JPEG Basic" format. I took some
70 photos, the camera split them into two different folders: ...

Any wildlife photographers prefer the full frame over DX mode?27 Mar 2008 23:16 GMT74
I'm thinking of upgrading from a D2Xs to either a D3 or a D300, but
I'm worried about the loss of that extra virtual focal length with the
D3. A 500mm. lens is just that, 500mm., not 750mm. or thereabouts.
I love the D2Xs with its DX format and the high speed crop that acts
Can a Nikor Film lens work on a Nikon DSLR?27 Mar 2008 14:27 GMT9
For a while now I have only been playing with digital point and shoot
cameras.  I would like to get back to using the SLR camera.
I have a Nikon 6006 AF camera which was purchased in early 90's.  I
purchased several lenses for the camera.  The best of those lenses is
Question to Pentax AF 540 flash owners27 Mar 2008 13:29 GMT1
I just got thsi today for my K10D and RTFMed for about an hour.
I set it to Digital, Auto Zoom, and Master. I set my camera to Manual.
How come I can't change the flash mode (by pressing the MODE button
of course). What am I missing and WITFM is this explained? Thanks!

For RichA - sony A700 noise reduction26 Mar 2008 16:05 GMT12
Hi Rich,
I read all the waffling about Sony's NR techniques on the A700.  This was a
orginally concern of mine - but after buying and using the camera, I
couldn't care less *how* they achieve good high ISO results, the fact is
So how do we know if the colour you see is correct?26 Mar 2008 09:02 GMT98
Here is a couple of shots to discuss.
The first is probably brighter than it was on the day.

This one would very, very close to the actual colours seen.

Rumours.  Olympus's E-510 and Sony's A700.
Full Frame censor: Low light, but NOT high ISO24 Mar 2008 21:50 GMT5
I've read a lot of comments down the board and elsewhere about FF sensors
having less noise at high ISO in low light, but has anyone got any
experience of the differences between FF and smaller sensors when shooting
long exposures in low light, but still at ISO 100? At times I've ...
focusing/metering during continuous shooting24 Mar 2008 21:48 GMT2
i have just ordered a nikon d300. does it or its big brother the D3 re
focus/re meter during continuous shooting?
Many brands doing NR post-sensor on raw files at high ISO??24 Mar 2008 11:04 GMT32
Apparently, Sony does with the A700, and perhaps, it's done to the new
Pentax K20D.  I wish these people would STOP taking orders from
marketing and leave the frigging output ALONE.  Let the morons who cry
about noise buy an NR program.
