Tripod question25 Feb 2008 23:14 GMT13
I am look for a tripod that is lightweight, yet within my budget.  The first

Slide Scanners25 Feb 2008 03:56 GMT6
Between me, my father, and other family members, we have over 5000
35mm slides and negatives that we want to scan. At prices I've seen
for scanning services it seems cheaper to buy a good film scanner. I
see that Nikon and Braun have scanners with autofeed slide magazines.
Used DSLRs, be WARY of your source24 Feb 2008 19:11 GMT16
I saw a shipment of used D70's come in from some source in New York to
a Canadian camera store.  The bodies were all tossed together in a
box, no wrapping, no protection.  They are then dusted off, shoved

[OT-ish:Blu Ray] HD-DVD death blow - backup implications24 Feb 2008 16:06 GMT7
I don't know when we'll be backing up on Blu-Ray (if ever), however,

format of choice - accept not any offers of HD-DVD.
It's dead Jim.

Three Dimensional Photos21 Feb 2008 22:28 GMT11
I'm interested in producing 3D photos with my DSLR for fun.  Has
anyone out there tried this with any success.  I've done a few web
searches, and it appears that there is quite a bit of information out
there, but I'd like to see what all of you have tried.  Any
