Ken likes his D30006 Jan 2008 22:31 GMT22
"I've had my D300 not more than 24 hours. In these first few
hours, my D300 has surprised me by being the first digital
camera that actually makes visibly better photos than my
other Nikon cameras! it does this on both artistic and
Someone is stealing photos from web sites!05 Jan 2008 04:37 GMT10
This site purports to be a stock photo site. In fact, it is a Chinese
piracy site. They are stealing photos from various Usenet binary groups
as well as web sites and attempting to sell them. Warning! This site,
because of its nature, contains a large number of porno pictures. ...
Amateur Predicament05 Jan 2008 04:11 GMT33
I have found the video recording capability of digital cams as a god
send. I have the Canon S3IS as well as a Panasonic GS 57 miniDV cam,
and the former offers better sharpness, which can be attributed to the
better lens. Though the S3 can only do 640 * 480, while the GS57 can
Nikon 400mm f/2.8 AF-S VR Nikkor finally shipping05 Jan 2008 00:28 GMT3
Ever since Nikon announced a 'release date' of November 23 for this
lens, some of us have been wondering where it is. Adorama finally sent
an email this morning saying mine has been shipped. A nice Christmas
present indeed, considering that it will not be here before Christmas.
Sensor cleaning - Nikon D70s04 Jan 2008 21:44 GMT4
I finally was a victim to a big blob of dust on all of the photos I
took recently. (All were repaired in Photoshop Elements 5).
Fortunately, I was able to fix the problem in the field by "blowing"
on the sensor which dislodged the offending dust particle. I now plan

Will the  Canon EOS Digital Rebel XTi recognize and use all of a 16 GB
CompactFlash card? Or are there some limitations.
Thanks

Nikon's D3 really is nice03 Jan 2008 19:04 GMT9
Check out this guy's 3200 twilight landscape.  1/3 stop underexposed,
very good noise control and great DR.  Only issue is the coma and CA
of the lens (note the bottom left).  Those large sensors put lenses
through hoops.

When we purchased a Nikon D80 a few months ago it came as a bundle with the
following lenses:
 a.. AF-S DX Zoom NIKKOR 55-200mm f 4.5-5.6 ED VR
 b.. AF-S DX NIKKOR 18-70mm f3.5-4.5G IF-ED
Canon kit vs Sigma 18-200, first blood:)03 Jan 2008 16:49 GMT10
I received my sigma and now I'm competing both lenses against each other. Is
really hard to say which one is better.
People say so easy that upgrading from lens kit to sigma 18-200 was a good
choice.
Filters vs Post processing03 Jan 2008 04:57 GMT11
Ive been looking into ND grad filters for a Canon EOS 400D but have
been advised that it should be possible to get the same result through
post processing:
