Memory Cards vs Storage/Viewer Device for Travel24 Jan 2008 14:47 GMT4
I have the E510 and recently have discovered (or admitted to) the
benefit of RAW. Anyway, several years ago I purchased and Epson P2000

view (even in thumbnail) the RAW files. (Yes I have the latest
Frazier lens24 Jan 2008 00:44 GMT9
I am wondering if anyone understands how the 'frazier lens' works?  It
is supposed to be able to have an incredible depth of field whereby it
can focus on an object close up and an object in the distant at the
same time.  I had always thought that this was impossible but

Are people with pristine equipment "real" photographers?22 Jan 2008 18:35 GMT5
Ever buy any used equipment, lenses especially?  Notice some are worn,
some bashed up and some are absolutely perfect?  Ever look at the
lenses being used by pros at football games, or out in the
wilderness?  They tend to be pretty dinged up.  No major physical
Organizing working images, archiving all images, what approach to take?21 Jan 2008 23:46 GMT23
I'm curious to know how others are dealing with long term storage of
digital images? I'll lay out some of the factors as I see them.
I'm using a 5D, shooting raw most of the time.
Primary software is Photoshop CS2 and Canon's Digital Photo Professional

Error message Full21 Jan 2008 17:51 GMT4
I am getting a "Full" indicator in the screen but there are no photos
on my card. I tried renaming my file in case all the numbers on my
ND50 were used up. None of tis helped. I tried to take the card out
and re-insert but to no avail. Any ideas what the problem might be?
NikonCafe?20 Jan 2008 15:55 GMT2
Does anyone know what's happened to the NikonCafe Website?  As of this
morning, it seems to have been taken over by some commercial venture.
What happened to all of the user forums?
Thanks!

What's the filter number I need for infrared-like effect?20 Jan 2008 12:33 GMT11
There is a filter you can get for digital cameras that gives a similar
effect to infrared photography. I would like to buy one but forgot the
filter number. I've done a little infrared photography in the past with 35mm
and really like the effect. My calendar from last year was ...
What white balance method do you use?19 Jan 2008 17:47 GMT54
I have one of those dslr cameras modified by Hutech so it's more
responsive to the red light for astrophotography.  Great!  It's not
the best choice for everyday photography though, so I usually manually
set the white balance(set to "daytime" for bird, plane & all daylight
