Your marketing stinks, your firmware upgrade method stinks, etc. Pentax: Download file, copy to SD card, install in camera. 4 minutes.

| Canon EF-S 18-2?? IS | 14 Dec 2007 13:50 GMT | 10 |
Nikon has the 18-200 DX VR, Pentax has the 18-250 ED ... do you think Canon will bring out something with IS in the 18-200-and-something range anytime soon?

| Olympus: The ugly reality | 13 Dec 2007 20:22 GMT | 8 |
Despite dollops of noise filtering inherent in the JPEGs (set to normal, you can turn it off) and despite the "tests" of various sources, a 4 year old Nikon still bests it. http://forums.dpreview.com/forums/read.asp?forum=1022&message=25956891

As a member of this group, I'm hoping it's not out of line to ask for a recommendation for a basic P&S digital camera as a holiday gift. Nothing too ostentatious - $100 -$200 price range. The person's not into photography per se, but would appreciate the opportunity to take a few ...

Hello all. I am getting ready to visit family in the USA (California) and am thinking seriously of buying the Canon 40D. With the exchange rate so good (at least, in my favor...the Euro is about 1.48 dollars), it's definitely time to trade up.

| What is the point of the "overhang" on DSLRs? | 12 Dec 2007 21:40 GMT | 11 |
Many seem to have something akin to the protruding brow on a prehistoric ape species. Is it needed? It seems to make them bulkier than they could be, defeating the purpose of a pancake lens.
