And yet Kodak's sensor (M8's) looks really good on paper...18 Dec 2007 20:26 GMT18
Kodak, Kodak, Kodak...What IS going on?  This thing looked really good.
The filter to fix the IR problem (if that will be their fix) is going
to cost at least as much as a high quality IR filter, around $200-$300.
Sensor replacement will likely wipe out any profit Kodak saw from ...

Pity the 4/3rds owners....17 Dec 2007 20:20 GMT9
This is the same lens.  Made generically by Sigma for a number of
cameras.  But because Olympus slapped their name on it, the price
doubles.  All of a sudden, those "cheap" 4/3rds Olympus bodies seem
more and more expensive.
Extreme Eyes17 Dec 2007 12:08 GMT24
I've recently developed a handful of pix at a night football game, where
the eyes look awful. I'm not sure it's typical red eye, or if I just
hadn't seen it before. The pupil looks blown out, and the edge of it, or
perhaps the iris, has a red ring around. I've tried de-saturating ...

Reunion Pictures16 Dec 2007 15:41 GMT6
Here are the kinds of pictures I take or at least took 7 years ago,
with my F5, Tokina and SB-28 combo.  The pictures from the F5 blew
away any that anyone else took.
One of my friends had a three mp Canon point and shoot.  The colors
MD to AF Adapter?$?$?$?$?$?$?$?16 Dec 2007 03:25 GMT8
I have some older Minolta MD lenses I am wanting to use on my Sony
Alpha A-100 and in checking aorund I was amazed to find that MD to AF
lense adapters cost around $70 even on Ebay.  I recently bought an M42
to AF adapter for $6 so I was pretty shocked to see the difference and

Canon EF 70-300mm f/4.5-5.6 DO IS USM15 Dec 2007 12:44 GMT8
Regarding the Canon EF 70-300mm f/4.5-5.6 DO IS USM lens, am I correct that
the front does not rotate or extend-retract with focus and zoom?  This
information is not apparent to me from Canon's specifications and chart.  A
non-rotating and non-extending design is critical for ...
