Check out the fruit bowl image30 Oct 2007 16:46 GMT2
Run your mouse over it.  Now, it's probably a bit too severe for an
"art" photo, but something nearly as aggressive could save some photos
people make.

Absolutely amazing how much it's gone to sh.t, in large part due to
Rich A(sshole) and the morons who feel the need to respond to him.
Hey Rich, you do know you're f.cking up this group, right?  Never
mind, it's rhetorical.
Suggest a DLSR for a beginner30 Oct 2007 01:58 GMT67

for a very expensive one, some where in the mid range would do for me.

Just make sure it's insured first.

$50,000 for only $5 in two months?  You gotta be crazy!  How can you
make $50,000 for only $5?  Well, that's what I was wondering too until
I came across this letter.
First of all, IT'S PERFECTLY LEGAL!  (Call 1-800-725-2161) if you have
Paranoid goons on dpreview Olympus SLR forum drive another person away28 Oct 2007 01:42 GMT11
The annoying thing is, because the site really exists to sell product,
as long as the goons don't slag the cameras and only the patrons, Phil
and his ilk won't even chide them for attacking people.
It really is trying, reading it and every single person who points out
Question about rough edges.27 Oct 2007 23:02 GMT7
I am wondering why pictures I take with my Nikon do not have straight edges
unless
I take them in the mode for display on PC.  I did not notice this setting on
any DSLR camera's yet

I used to shop in the store when I lived
in NY, but have never used their online
store.

Olympus E-3 images don't seem particularly sharp26 Oct 2007 15:25 GMT6
100 ISO, comparing them to samples in dpreview from the Nikon D200,
the E-3 images do not look very sharp.  I can't tell from these what
the DR is like though.

equipment yet, but I'm doing all the research now. I'm very confident
that I'm going to buy the Canon Rebel XTi body, and I'm about 50%
confident that I'm going to buy the Canon EF-S 17-85mm f/4-5.6 IS USM

Something Bad About the 580EX II?25 Oct 2007 18:02 GMT2
One person talked about how it does not have a quick turn off for slave
units like the 580EX that came before it had.
This may not be a problem for any of you or it might be.
