I think I might know the answer to this but here goes anyway.  I have
Nikon F5 that I rarely use because I have a mental block now against
film.  Stupid, I know.
The lenses I have are:

Nikon D80..  (.NEF plug-in and other stuff...)10 Aug 2007 02:08 GMT22
first of all, I don't know if everyone who was hanging out here last
February is still here, but I want to thank everyone who helped me with
my new Nikon D80 when I was in India last February.. I had been on a
Nikon F2AS for about 30 years, so transition to digital has been a bit ...
Upgrade to CS3? Opinions Wanted10 Aug 2007 00:20 GMT4
I am currently using Lightroom and CS2 for my digital developing
chores. I shoot 95% in JPEG (currently shooting with an Olympus E510 -
LOVE IT - and a Canon G7) and do 95% of my adjustments in LR.
A close friend recently got CS3 (he was using Elements prior) and he
Pentax 50mm A lens09 Aug 2007 14:38 GMT5
Just got one of these from someone on eBay. Is it correct that to move
the aperture ring beyond f11 requires depression of the button on the
ring? On my 28mm ring the button is only required for the A position.
Thanks,
Lens Cleaning Question09 Aug 2007 00:40 GMT2
I just picked up a Canon 28-135mm IS on ebay for $300. It arrived today in
great working condition. The only negative of the transaction is there
appears to be dust inside the lens. How does it get in there and more
importantly how do I get it out. With the length of the lens I ...

Spreading Your Wings With Nikon!07 Aug 2007 13:18 GMT3
With the ever-increasing congestion of our friendly skies and the TSA's
incompetence it's no wonder we are being plagued with so many near misses.
Fortunately, Nikon was there to capture the action and save the day.

New SLR cameras in dev05 Aug 2007 11:19 GMT11
Are there any new D-SLR cameras in development?
Are there certain times of the year when manufacturers release new cameras?
I think the Photokina show in Germany is one of those times but it's only
every other year.
NIkon rumors04 Aug 2007 20:46 GMT80
Does anyone have any information, leaks or speculations on what the
successor to the D80 will be?  Also, any idea of when it might be announced?
Thanks,

Flash diffusion [another Fong thread]04 Aug 2007 15:53 GMT3
OK here's some actual test shots at semi-macro range showing how much
difference flash diffusion can make:

Color Space & Raw File Format04 Aug 2007 14:13 GMT37
I understand the Canon XT CMOS sensor has 12-bits of depth per color. Yet,
I have read that the RAW files from the XT are 24 bits (ie, 8 bits per
color). I have tried both settings in the camera (sRGB and Adobe RGB) and
both result in the same file size. When I read the raw file in ...

Anyone have an idea what these spots are? A cleaning
brush across the sensor was not helpful.
