When loyalty to a camera system = absolute blindness11 Aug 2007 21:29 GMT44
I can't believe some people.  Some newby on the dpreview Olympus group
posts about a magenta cast in the highlights in images of the Olympus
E-510, and the KOOKS who guard the forum attack the guy, some with
logically, but some are off the charts stupid.  One poster refutes the
Sony HVL-56AM and Minolta 3500xi Flash...Will they work together?11 Aug 2007 15:05 GMT3
I am new to digital SLR photography (photography in general really),
and I just purchased the Sony HVL-56AM flash for my a-100 dSLR. I am
trying to use it as a
crude main/key light while using my old Minolta 3500xi flash as a fill
Sigma 70-300mm f/4.5-5.6 APO EX DG Macro11 Aug 2007 12:10 GMT10
Not even an amateur yet, I've been fiddling around with my Nikon D70s
long enough to find that I sometimes wish I had a tele lens. I had a
look at the above in a photo shop, but I'm not qualified to say whether
it would be the right choice for me, nor am I able to make enough ...
Why current silver DSLRs make people want to vomit10 Aug 2007 22:31 GMT50
The Rebel and Rebel XT.  Very rare Nikon D50s and Olympus E-500s.
What they all share is a stigma in cameras that in humans is akin to
leprosy.  Silvered plastic.  It looks so awful and cheezy that only
the lowest forms of life (bottom barrel pocketable P&Ss) wear it like

Canon's latest firmware10 Aug 2007 15:24 GMT5
Are there any 'hidden' fixes not being openly advertised by Canon any
users might have discovered?
Should users always upgrade the to the latest firmware as soon as possible?

Worlds Largest Photo and Worlds Largest Camera...10 Aug 2007 07:34 GMT2
A friend of mine sent me the link for this. The photo (1 single photo)
measures 28 feet by 108 feet. The camera they used to take this shot was an
aircraft hanger. It has been certified by Guinness as the worlds largest
photograph.
10 megapixel?10 Aug 2007 05:39 GMT37
I'm considering a digital SLR and am overwhelmed by everything that's
available.  I'm ready to move past the point and shoot cameras and would
