Nikon D80/200 - Canon 30d20 Aug 2007 04:37 GMT58
Not arguing the relative merits of these cameras.
Canon 30d is now about US$200 less than a D80 in my local store, or as a
kit with a 17-85 IS lens it's about the same price as a D80 with a
plastic mount cheap 18-135 lens, and about US$200 less than a D200 body
Shutter release help - Canon Digital Rebel19 Aug 2007 22:20 GMT7
I have a Canon Digital Rebel XTI 10MP SLR camera.  I am vacationing in
a remote part of the Adirondacks and have no access to any camera
shops that have accessories for my camera.  I am interested in doing
some time exposures with my camera.  I have found online what appears
Flash stuck in hot shoe19 Aug 2007 17:30 GMT11
I just purchased a Vivitar DF400MZ flash for my D50 and though it seems to
work fine I can't seem to unscrew the tightening screw to get the flash off
the camera.
I am not totally sure which way the screw should move to undo it (I think
Prime lenses for x1.6 focal length cameras19 Aug 2007 16:32 GMT70
In my (many) years of 35mm film photography, prime lense selection
always seemed raher simple:
50mm gave a perspective that seemed natural to the human eye and could
be considered "standard"; 35mm was moderately wide angle; 28mm rather
Capture NX v1.219 Aug 2007 05:09 GMT5
Not sure how many NX users there are out there, but I notice that it has now
had a further update to v1.2 which seems to have fixed quite a few annoying
bugs.  I noticed that part of the upgrade seemed to involve upgrading MS
.NET framework to v2.0.   The toolbars now seem to ...
Nikon D80 Auto-Bracketing Questions19 Aug 2007 02:52 GMT3
I'm still learning to shoot in manual mode with my new Nikon D80, and
I'm having trouble understanding how to set Auto-Bracketing.
I've gotten the bracketing increment set to where I want it ( 1.0 )and
have the camera set for bracketing exposure only.
Making my mind between Nikon or Canon18 Aug 2007 20:38 GMT44
I had decided to go digital, as my existing system is a very complete Canon FD I
have no incentive to go to any of the current systems over another.
As my requisites are high image quality, good wide angle, available light
photography and macro I had shortlisted the bodies to Canon ...
Another newbie question18 Aug 2007 16:45 GMT12
Hi, I have a film camera (Nikon FM10) and am looking into buying a
digital SLR. The thing is that I would like to keep my current lenses,
so I guess I am better off with Nikon brand. Someone told me that not
all digital SLR's from Nikon (such as D40) work with older lenses. So
Serial Number18 Aug 2007 16:24 GMT15
I just tried to register my Nikon D80 on with Nikon UK and got a message
saying it was invalid. I bought it from Microglobe (London UK) in Jan 2007
Serial Number 3900xxx after lots of Googling it appears that it may be a USA
number. Will this effect the warranty?
Profit from Spare Pictures18 Aug 2007 13:08 GMT2
Hey guys and gals! I was wondering if anyone here knew that you could
actually make some serious cash taking pictures with your digital
camera?  Yeah it may seem kind of new because not many people know
about this market yet. I have a blog that has more information what im
Nikon D80 Images Not Seen by PCs18 Aug 2007 08:17 GMT9
I bought a D80 several months ago and have several hundred photos on the SD
card. I have tried several methods of transferring the photos to my PC, but
so far have been unsuccessful. Unfortunately, being a novice, perhaps naive
buyers, I ended up purchasing what I now find out is ...

Comparison of 50, 55, 58mm f/1.2 Nikkors17 Aug 2007 22:11 GMT40

I was curious, loking at a 55/1.2 for $280, as I have a 50mm that I paid
$400 for in excellent condition.

Getting Back No Nature In A Thong!!16 Aug 2007 12:31 GMT1
It was such a beautiful summer morning that I had to go out to the old
garden to pick the veggies for the day.  I usually don't have a thong, but
something told me to bring one.  I'm so glad I did.
