According to the camera manual, pressing manual flash button causes flash to pop-up and charge. However I am noticing that flash does not pop-up uless it is charged. In other words it charges then pops up.

I bought a cloudy (white) filter off eBay for $5 to create reference images to fix Canon's God awful "auto" white balance and their almost never right 5500k of "flash" setting. It works and it works well too. I might point out that tracing paper in a broken filter ring works

I am looking to buy the Canon 70 - 200 f/2.8 USM lense. I mainly shoot sports (volleyball, cycling) and I was wondering if I need to spend the extra $500 bucks and get the IS USM version? Isn't the IS mainly for slower shutter speeds anyway? Thanks for any help you can

I have a bunch of pix copied to a CD a couple of years ago. My current PC cannot find the pictures, only the directory in which I put them. Are these forever lost? Or are there services that can recover these?
