| Flash Card Capacity Changes Based on ISO Setting | 04 Jul 2007 06:38 GMT | 11 |
I have had my Canon Digital Rebel for a year now and I just noticed that the capacity of my flash card changes if I change the ISO setting. For example, at ISO 100, the camera readout says I have room for 287 pictures (on my 1GB flash card). At ISO 1600, the camera says I have ...

| Did Canon buy the pro market? | 03 Jul 2007 11:36 GMT | 21 |
No one would argue that Canon dominates the professional photo market. In nearly every field. Neither would anyone argue that their cameras aren't at the top of the photo heap when it comes to quality. But did Canon earn the market via better products, or did they (as

| Question about fast lenses (ie, F1.4 or 1,8) | 03 Jul 2007 04:57 GMT | 4 |
Are the really fast lenses really practical for indoor shooting at gatherings? I am concerned about the narrow depth-of-field at wide openings, or is that not really a problem if you don't get one more than about 30mm (ie

| A Leica story | 02 Jul 2007 10:10 GMT | 30 |
Guy walks into a downtown camera store and says, "I like to trade my film camera for a credit against a new digital." Pulls out a Leica R3 in near mint condition, a Summicron 50mm f2 made in the Midland, Ontario plant, almost mint and a 28mm f2.8 Elmarit,

| Pentax K100D: very dim in-viewfinder readout | 02 Jul 2007 10:07 GMT | 9 |
The status information in the viewfinder is very dim - so dim that I often can't see important information, especially in bright sunlight. In particular, I use a 28mm Pentax A lens with stop-down metering, so I really need to see the exposure information in the bottom right.

| Help with Canon 580EX flash and 20D please | 01 Jul 2007 17:07 GMT | 22 |
I recently upgraded my flash to a 580 EX and I'm having a problem coming to grips with the "Sync" speed of the flash. According to the manual which is vague in detail, I can set the high speed flash to work with AV mode at a fixed 1/250th second shutter speed.

I use a Nikon D80 & D70 but I'm after a decent compact and have norrowed it down to Nikon P5000 & Canon A640 (because I want the option of an optical viewfinder). Any opinions on this. Bruce
