Sensor Cleaning - when the other shoe drops31 Jul 2007 18:23 GMT23
The bane of digital photography (in my perception) is dust/dirt on the
sensor.  Had I known about this I would still be waiting to make the
switch from film.  But now I just can't go back to hauling a roll out
every 24 shots, threading another one in... AARGH!

Canon Shooter Displays New Gear Carrying System!31 Jul 2007 05:01 GMT4
This is awesome!  This guy is fully loaded and still is free to move about
freely and effortlessly.  I hope this system is not patented?  I have to
have one!

iPod and RAW files30 Jul 2007 14:51 GMT20
My daughter just got a new 30Gb video iPod and in the store, I tried to copy
pictures from my Canon Drebel XTi, worked like a charm even if it was slow.
I bought Apple's iPod camera connector (the same they used in the store).
Now before I open the box for the camera connector, so I ...
NEF. Capture NX, PSE5 or elsewhere?30 Jul 2007 14:31 GMT8
To begin with: I'm totally new to this. Only two months ago, my own
subject field above would have made absolutely no sense to me, so please
bear that in mind. Here I go:
A couple of months ago I bought a D70s, my first SLR ever. Now I'm

Low light group event portrait30 Jul 2007 03:09 GMT42
I've been asked to photograph a company retirement party (paid) which
will be about 20 people in a restaurant under candlelight at a few
tables. I've agreed to do it but warned them that's really extraordinary
shooting conditions. I have a 50mm f/1.2 but that's too long for most

recognize this new memory card.
Does any one know if there is anything I can do so that it will?

Tried some new settings29 Jul 2007 09:16 GMT14
http://www.flickr.com/photos/deserttraveler/
Went to the cabin for a few days.  I tried some different settings that we
have discussed here.  I think I came up with some aha moments, and some
pretty nice pictures.  These are four of the nicest, but I got lots of nice
D70 Light Meter Issues29 Jul 2007 04:42 GMT4
I have a 2 year old D70 that recently started misbehaving badly. It
seems as though the light meter underexposes everything by about 5
stops or so, and even if I can match the offset with exposure
compensation, it's not consistant. What I mean by that is that if I
Old Film Ricoh SLR Camera28 Jul 2007 16:31 GMT4
I know this is digital, but since I hope that you can help me.
I have an old Ricoh SLR camera with 2 lenses.  This was made way before
things became automated so all functions are manual.  Is this worth anything
to anyone?  I am guessing it would be more of a collector item ...
Nikon Deluxe Camera Bag28 Jul 2007 03:24 GMT1
I know this is a crazy question, but I just received a Nikon Deluxe
Camera Bag and there is a short strap included with some velcro sticky
on one side of it around the center.  Then there are some triangular
shaped "D-Loops" about 2/3 way down the back of the bag itself.  The
