superglue repair on D7028 May 2007 00:33 GMT3

bayonet mounting screws (out of the 5) coming out and pulling a ...
Nikon falls out of the blue and into the black!27 May 2007 07:04 GMT3
It's been a busy day getting ready for tomorrow's party.  The pool is clean
and properly balanced, the wireless network is working at peak performance
ready to pipe tunes from the old dual Xeon SCSI based MP3 server, and most

instead.
What I want is a 50mm-equivalent, nice and bright, and obviously the

Breach of copyright of images posted online - a warning (BBC News)26 May 2007 09:57 GMT53
A salutary tale:
http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/technology/6665723.stm
It is worth reading the whole article, because the more serious issue
of breach of copyright is not reflected in the headline.
How to hold a camera26 May 2007 08:26 GMT16
I'm new to DSLR photography.   Little do you know it, but I've learned a lot
by lurking here.  Now I'm coming out to ask a question.
My kids dance competitively and we used to buy pictures but the prices they
charge at those places are crazy, so I decided to get a camera (Sony

What is different about the lenses made specifically for digital SLR's?
FOV crop and focal length conversion factors still are in play, yes?

B&H raises prices to negate Canon rebate25 May 2007 18:17 GMT37
Lots of posts about this on Fredmiranda and dpreview... looks like the
new 'instant' rebates Canon has implemented, vs the russian roulette
mail-in rebates, are being thwarted at the cash registers. B&H
apparently raised their prices overnight to negate the rebates, even

As good an information source dpreview has been, one can only wonder
what bias will now be introduced.
I use Amazon frequently and have no major complaints as they function as
