President Bush Meets The Legendary Nikkor!30 Apr 2007 22:48 GMT17
It was a really strange day for me today.  I was invited to a press
conference and a bite to eat with President Bush.  I was apprehensive to go
at first because of my preconceived dislike for the man and everything he
stands for.  Well, I decided that I would go just for the sake of ...

Public Smoker Feels The Wrath Of The Old Nikkor!29 Apr 2007 16:43 GMT3
I now see why they are banning pubic smoking in the US.  This gentleman had
the audacity to light up in front of me and it wasn't even a hand rolled
Cuban cigar, but a cheap Dominican Republic one that smelled like dung and
rope.
Exposure discrepancy between raw & jpeg29 Apr 2007 14:02 GMT4
Recently I took some landscape pictures in raw+jpeg. The jpeg pictures are
properly exposed but the raw pictures appear to be underexposed. I viewed
the raw images in FSView, Zoombrowser & DPP and in all three they looked
underexposed. I processed them with ufraw with auto-exposure ...
Within Windows XP, can a user sort pictures by ISO Speed and Shutter speed29 Apr 2007 11:28 GMT6
When selecting the "Choose Details" within folder options in Windows
XP, I see that I can display by some limited photo data, "Camera
Model", etc, but I can't sort by "ISO speed" or "Shutter Speed."  Can
this be done within XP so that I don't have to install another

In case you want to see the results of 2 seconds at f6.3, ISO 200, pointed up at
the night sky.
I used the Sony 18-200 3.5-6.3 lens, (@135mm) and a very good tripod...

I recently came across Expodisc. I went to their website (www.expodisc.com)
and discovered that Bill Atkinson describes dust mapping with the ExpoDisc
(http://www.expodisc.com/tips/).
Can anyone who tried it tell me whether this gadget is indeed practical and

Using Lenses from Nikon 8080 film camera on Nikon D80 digital28 Apr 2007 04:39 GMT15
Have decided to purchase a Nikon D80.  Currently have a Nikon 8080 film
camera with AF Nikkor 28-85mm 1:3.5-4.5 and AF Nikkor 50mm 1:1.8 lenses.
If I purchase a new digital lens, I am looking at the 18-135mm  f/3.5-5.6G
