D70 ISO Auto02 Feb 2007 04:40 GMT11
I have being photographing birds & thought I'd try setting the D70 to ISO
Auto. The nominal setting was ISO 400 & on Shutter Priority, but the ISO
didn't seem to alter & it was a very overcast day. Will ISO Auto only work
in certain settings.

Can the screen on a DSLR be used to compose, or is it only for
reviewing after the picture is taken?  I'm looking at a Nikon D-80.

Let's say I shot the same landscaping scenery with two different lenses.
1. One is expensive f2.8
2. Second is much less expensive  f4.5.
each shot is at the same  AV say f9 (so there is no need for big f), same TV

I have been using a D70 with Nikon Capture 4.4 but when the wife bought a
D80 I can't open her NEF photos. There is a suggestion that I have to pay
out for Capture NX. Why? What is the difference between D70 NEF & D80 NEF &
is there another way round this so I can continue to use ...

Looking for a good camera bag to hold an SLR body, which is weather
sealed, and 3 lenses that are not.  Getting caught in a downpour is
pretty much guaranteed.  I'll do my best to keep everything out of the
river.
