Macro shots with Norman Power Pack, D50 Nikon05 Feb 2007 22:58 GMT16
These were all under one light which was fairly overwhelming for the
situation.  Next time I need to set the ISO to something lower but this
show how the D50 handles ISO 1600.  The raw files went through
Lightroom, then were Photoshopped with some sharpening, auto level, auto
Sigma 135-400 or 170-500? Advice please05 Feb 2007 21:44 GMT9
I am in the market for a telephoto lens for my Canon EOS 300D.  I
found the sigma 135-400 APO and 170-500 APO which are in my price
range.  Can anybody recommend either of these?  The going price on
eBay is approximately £250 for the 135-400 and about £350 for the
New Year New Lenses05 Feb 2007 07:47 GMT9
After much research and questions I finally bought some new lenses:
I needed a good wide angle, and a macro and it would be good to have
a medium length lens.
In the end for the wide angle I bought the Canon EFS 10-22mm F3.5/4.5
50mm f/1.4 VR Nikkor!  I'll be damned they did it!05 Feb 2007 03:24 GMT38

I had a chance to test the 50/105VR combo and I must say that I'm pleased
with the results and this setup shows promise.

canon camera features04 Feb 2007 18:16 GMT5
With all the flaming about "pro" cameras, I'd like to ask
teh following question. It's about Canon. I bought a 30D
because it seemed OK for me and was the most expensive
Canon I could afford. If the XTi had been out (it came out
Canon high ISO rumour - article04 Feb 2007 17:41 GMT44
Bottom of page 4 of the article.
Citing new technology from South Korean company Planet 82, Canon's
Westfall says camera sensors could conceivably someday deliver image
quality at ISO 6400 that approaches today's ISO 100.
Flash Mount on a Canon 350d04 Feb 2007 15:08 GMT13
Just a quicky, can you get a flash mount for the Canon 350d to replace
the hot shoe?  Like they use on CSI! I've had a hunt round the usual
suspects here in the UK (Jessops, Wharehouse express, eBay etc) and not
come up with anything.
Your opinion of Canon 400D04 Feb 2007 09:25 GMT33
I am planning to buy a Canon 400D, recently launched by Canon. I would like
your opinion on the camera from your own experience or what you might have
heard from others.
Also please compare this camera with other likely competitors. Both pros and
Dynamic Range of RAW digital sensor data04 Feb 2007 07:03 GMT16
I am looking for hard data on the dynamic range of different digital
sensors, such as the sensors used in the Canon EOS 5D and Nikon D200.
I've found a lot of articles that is some way or another shows how
photon counts corresponds to RAW imager output values, such as the
Focus discrepancies in Rebel XT and XTi, manual and auto focus04 Feb 2007 05:28 GMT26
I have noticed the most puzzling and disturbing focus discrepancies in
both my Rebel XT and my XTi.
Please do the following tests with yours (and please report back!):
Set your camera on a tripod
What is worse than a flimsy plastic DSLR housing? I found something FAR worse.04 Feb 2007 04:38 GMT43
What could be worse?  I criticized some entry-level DSLRs because of
their flimsy plastic shells.
But, at least cameras like the Canon Rebel XTi take excellent pictures.
Take a look at the results from this

Any hacks/tricks for EOS-350D?03 Feb 2007 11:32 GMT1
Now that the Canon EOS-350D (Digital Rebel-XT) has been superseeded by
the EOS-400D (and thus no longer supported by Canon I assume), are
there any cool hacks, updates or tricks to consider?
