70-300mm Recommendations10 Jan 2007 05:18 GMT9
I have a Nikon D50 and am considering a 70-300mm telephoto lens. The example
that Charles Schuler has is an outstanding photo! I have been looking at the
Nikkor 70-300mm f/4.5-5.6G ED-IF AF-S VR (a little on the expensive side for me
at ~$530), the Nikkor 70-300mm f/4-5.6D ED AF ...

Budget Telephoto Lens Recommendation09 Jan 2007 17:16 GMT1
I was wondering if someone could recommend a budget telephoto lens for
use on my Canon EOS 300D.  I want something that is >300mm and <£400.
I have my eyes on a sigma 135-400 and 170-500.  Are these good lenses?
Many Thanks
PAL to NTSC?09 Jan 2007 16:58 GMT5
I know I saw a message in this group about converting PAL Videos to
NTSC but at the time I wasn't dealing with PAL. It seems I was short

Now I have two PAL DVD videos that will play on my computer DVD player

I post a lot of images on my web site. Now, as far as I know, web
browsers don't do any colour management. Assuming a properly calibrated
monitor, can anyone suggest what I should be doing to make sure my
images, as displayed, are reasonably close to my intent?

SB 600 + Ducks09 Jan 2007 01:34 GMT10
I've just joined the Wildfowl & Wetlands Trust in the UK. So off I went to
photograph some ducks. The gear I was using is Nikon D70, SB600 & Nikkor
70-210mm F4 AI-S lens. Today on my 3rd visit I tried setting the ISO to 400
then 800 and set the flash to TTL-BL but found I had to ...

EOS-350D filename variations08 Jan 2007 11:31 GMT8
Looking through my backup DVDs I've burned of photos I've taken with my
Canon EOS-350D (Rebel XT) I'm puzzled by the variations and seemingly
duplicate copies of the same photos. Perhaps someone can clear up the
confusion? I don't want to import duplicate copies into iPhoto, and
Tokina 12-2408 Jan 2007 01:12 GMT10
Please advise on what could make these images better. Just the two pictures
of the buildings. Both were taken using a Tokina 12-24mm f/4 Pro DX.
Thanks

hand one much less?
Thanks!

Why a dust shedding system is a boon07 Jan 2007 01:17 GMT38
Yes, you can clean your sensors when they get dirty.  Problem is, even
the slightest drag of a tiny piece of grit across it when cleaning can

much bigger than bacteria) that the sensors operate at, something like
