Used Minolta 7d or Sony A100?06 Dec 2006 10:20 GMT6
I'm as one might guess a Minolta user with lots of minolta lenses. I'm
at last considering going digital, but Minolta hasn't exactly been
releasing tons of cameras to consider.
I currently have a Minolta 700si which predates the Minolta 7 which the

Dpreview and the lastest (ho-hum) 6 megapixel Pentax05 Dec 2006 23:34 GMT16
I'm wondering if they should simply slap the label "highly recommended"
on all reviews and just have done with it?  If the entry level of the
DSLRs is so similar, why review them at all, unless you are going to
take a REAL position and say, "this camera has a definite edge over the
I am looking for age gap relationships05 Dec 2006 05:10 GMT1
I found a best place for Older Women and Younger Men, or Older men
and Younger women to interact with each other.
Generation gap is not a problem here, but a great merit to romantic

Sigma 14 megapixel P&S to cost $2000+05 Dec 2006 04:04 GMT30
1100 British pounds. With a fixed equivalent 28mm lens.  This is being
touted as compact a P&S sub for a DSLR.  Looks like Leica isn't the
only company making a high priced non DSLR.  Epson is another company
that makes a high priced non-DSLR.
Autofocus Nikkor 20-35mm f/2.8D IF Aspherical04 Dec 2006 22:55 GMT10
Any opinions on this out-of-production lens?
Autofocus Nikkor 20-35mm f/2.8D IF Aspherical
It seems to be nearly as good as the exceptional newer 17-35/2.8 and
similarly large but considerably less expensive used, like $750 instead
Band of f------ idiots sues B&H04 Dec 2006 13:55 GMT62

These morons are mad because they sell very EXPENSIVE RC design
telescopes.  But they have no more right to claim any kind of ownership
(and hence the ability to sue) than someone has for suiing over

Can the old OM-35 series lens be used on the E Series cameras?

Wide angle zoom lens04 Dec 2006 03:27 GMT22
Hi, I am torn between buying the Sigma 10-20 f4-5.6, and the Canon EF-S
10-22 3.5-4.5 lenses. The Canon is a bit faster, but there's a fair jump in
price (Sigma £280, Canon £470, although I can get £70 cashback on that if I
go for the Canon). Any advice as to the pros and cons of ...

Nikon D50 newbie - lens ?03 Dec 2006 21:15 GMT4
I recently bought a D50 online (first mistake - have nothing good to sa
about Express Cameras!!) The salesman was obnoxious and pushy - an
didn't do half of what he said he'd do once I threatened to cancel m
order entirely.  Anyway - I ordered the camera with the 18-55 lens bu
Nervous About  A Lens Purchase03 Dec 2006 16:17 GMT32
I am planning to buy the Canon 100-400mm L IS lens and I have read
accounts on the web and various Usenet forums where even the best lens
manufacturers, making the best of lenses, occasionally makes a lens that
does not focus properly or has some other defect.  I have no idea if
Confused on Sony Alpha and Home Studio set-up03 Dec 2006 15:45 GMT6
I recently purchased a Jessops external flash home studio system for
use with my Sony Alpha.  The master flash head connects via a sync
cable, but the only connector that Jessops had was a "Minolta
dynax" hotshoe adaptor.  This should have worked, as the Dynax is
