| Sensor sizes | 16 Dec 2006 18:50 GMT | 4 |
I was wondering about sensor sizes in DSLR's. With Nikon's new D40 (6 meg), Canon's 350XT (8 meg) Nikon's D 80 10 meg) and Canon's 400 (10 meg) - are sensor sizes similar? If so, then the 6 meg Nikon would have larger pixels and ability for more light capture.

I don't know which forum to post on so I thought I'd start here. I'm trying to calibrate my Camera Raw color settings. I know I don't have a good eye for color so I bought a gretagmacbeth colorchecker chart. I have a Canon Rebel XTi/400D with Photoshop Camera Raw 3.6.

| corrrected image format options | 15 Dec 2006 12:49 GMT | 3 |
If you shoot in RAW and then after raw conversion you edit the image with a system that uses layers, do you save your files as TIFFs or PSDs or some other format? What is your reason for using the format you choose?

| Astronauts Always Pick the Nikkor For Zero-G | 14 Dec 2006 23:01 GMT | 8 |
Just look at all those beautiful Nikkors floating around in zero-g. It's just another example of taking the proper tools with you when you have to get the job done. Sadly, Canon washed out in basic training. Why wasn't there ever a single Canon film or dSLR ever selected to go ...

| Canon EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 II USM vs non USM lens. | 14 Dec 2006 19:37 GMT | 1 |
I got a chance today to compare the USM and kit versions of the two 18-55mm Canon lenses. They were both the II revision. I thought I would share the results since non of the online review sites seems to compare the two lenses head to head. I am sure that many would say "who ...

They've had images purportedly taken with the SD14 in mags for 2 months. So why not one image posted from the camera yet? Nikon, Olympus, Canon, etc, all post images prior to official release.

Okay, I'm years late into the game and most of you know almost everything there is to know about DSLR cameras so I'm not going to say anything new or enlightening. This is simply an expression of my joy of DSLR cameras. For whatever unknown reason, I got heavy into photography ...
