Remote Capture Software27 Nov 2006 19:23 GMT7
I currently use Canon's Zoombrowser to remote capture the images as I am
shooting but a friend of mine who has a Nikon tried it and it wouldn't work.
Does anybody know of either an add in to Zoombrowser to make other cameras
work or a another software package that does the same ...
Which SD Card?27 Nov 2006 14:38 GMT6
I'm sure this topic has been covered before somewhere; I've just
purchased a Nikon D80 with 18-135mm lens (kit) and am now hunting for
the ideal SD card - either Sandisk Ultra II or Extreme III. Is the
latter worth it?
Leica's M8 fixes27 Nov 2006 00:41 GMT9
The introduction of Leica's first digital M series hasn't gone quite as
smoothly as they will have hoped, before the camera even reached owners
some reviewers spotted some issues with the imaging side of the camera
(Banding, Mirror/Ghost effect and IR sensitivity). Leica issued a
Sigma vs. Tamaron26 Nov 2006 22:07 GMT38
Group,
I'm looking to buy a 70 - 300mm AF lens for my Pentax *istDL.  Does anyone
have any thoughts on the merits of the Sigma 70-300mm f/4-5.6 APO DG Macro
lens @ 219USD vs the Tamaron AF 70-300mm f4-5.6 Di LD Macro lens @ 189USD.
Olympus OM-126 Nov 2006 01:39 GMT6
I'm looking at a friend's old Olympus OM-1 with several lenses. I wonder
if the lenses can be used on the new Oly digital? The camera still works
but hasn't been used in ages. Seems like a nice kit, not super fast
lenses but supposed to be quite nice quality. Beautiful compact ...

Why are the new DX lenses so slow?25 Nov 2006 19:08 GMT126
Nikon and Canon both. I have lenses for my old F100 that are faster than
what both companies are offering. I mean f2.8 or less and a constant speed
through the zoom range. Does anybody have information about why these
digital lenses are coming out with such high and variable ...
CF Memory Cards?25 Nov 2006 08:52 GMT11
For Canon EOS 400D?XT REBEL any recommendations on brand? Is a X50 fast
enough?
Nikon D200 Question25 Nov 2006 06:45 GMT8
I have a D200 and love it. But I have a question and have been unable to
get an answer. Is it possible to attach a receiver to the camera so that
the shutter can be tripped from a distance via a small radio
transmitter. The only thing I can find is some info on a transmitter
Replacement lens hood KM/Sony 18-7025 Nov 2006 02:22 GMT3
I broke the lens hood for the 18-70 kit lens on my Konica Minolta (now
Sony).  It was made of hard plastic and attached via a reversible
bayonet fitting on the outside of the lens rather than on the filter
thread.  Does anyone know where I could get a replacement, preferably
More creative use of light24 Nov 2006 22:23 GMT1
Following up on the last issue we're taking a look at "The
Direction of Light" and how we can use it to create better
photographs. You can view the latest issue of CreativePhoto by going to

sRGB24 Nov 2006 20:03 GMT8
Hey, I've just bought a Canon 400D, works like a charm, but I'm no
professional. My pics are saved in sRGB colorspace format, which by all
accounts seems to be the format of choice for web publishing, which is
the main use of my photos (recreational) I have been having problems,

Some have got them in the US, but not me yet, maybe next week.
Afterall, Australia is a long way from the Pentax factory. :-(
