retractable zoom07 Oct 2006 23:02 GMT3
In the compact world (both film and digital) we see a lot of retractable zoom.

I mean, the compact 35mm film had a "sensor" of 24x36mm, so the lens "output"
had to be that big, right ?

The current crop of 10 meg DSLRs.  Olympus, Canon, Sony, Nikon, Pentax

Leica D Vario Elmarit 14-50 lens not as good as Olympus 14-54 pro lens.06 Oct 2006 08:40 GMT3
This is the new Leica lens that goes as a kit lens with the Panasonic

HELP...lens repair06 Oct 2006 03:54 GMT4
I traded some sporting goods for a "like new" 100-400 Canon IS L glass zoom
lens.  I'm only into the lens about $400.00, so the deal was a good one as
the lens shows little use.  However, it was part of an estate sale and
during the "storage time" prior to sale, there was some ...

One of my friend is leaving for a trip in Thailand. He was thinking of
buying a entry-level DSLR setup from Thailand... does anyone know where
to buy it from in Thailand or how expensive or wise would it be to buy
from there? Please share your experience.

Lens for the D20005 Oct 2006 04:22 GMT22
What is the best lens for general use with the Nikon D200. A camera shop
told me that the lens (AF-S NIKKOR 18-70mm will be OK.
Currently I use the AF-S NIKKOR 18-70mm with a Nikon D70s and it works fine.
But, I would like to purchase a lens for general that best suits a D200. I

Will Pentax carry on shrinking04 Oct 2006 20:08 GMT14
Do you guys think Pentax will spend more effort in shrinking the size of their
dSLR ? I am about to enter the SLR market, but having problems to make
a decision on which system to go with, Pentax, or 4/3 (which is basically
Olympus).

yourself, if so inclined. The article is at:
