Not necessarily the most expensive, but maybe the quietest, or the best bang for the buck... your opinion... Lets say you won at poker - you would buy a ________. Bobby

| CF Reader does not show as drive | 17 Oct 2006 23:27 GMT | 47 |
My Dazzle compact flash reader no longer shows up as a drive letter. When I plug it into the USB port it is recognized by the beep tone. I've been into device mgr. and uninstalled the USB device and rebooted but that does not deem to help.

| Canon screwed themselves (or did they?) | 16 Oct 2006 18:00 GMT | 22 |
The consensus seems to be a jump from the 350 to the 400 isn't worth it from an image improvement perspective, and may actually be a bad idea if the lowest noise is your goal. However, there are other things the camera has that might swing the pendulum.

They list really great prices and seem to have a decent rating on resellerrating.com. Has anybody in the group dealt with them? What was the experience like?

| RichA might be a swamping parameter | 16 Oct 2006 04:22 GMT | 18 |
There is an engineering term called "swamping." It is commonly used when one parameter overwhelms others that could be pertinent in a given situation. The swamping parameter mostly dominates the outcome. Are we being swamped by RichA?

I'm confused about software packages, so perhaps someone can help: I have a Konica Minolta 5D, and generally use Picasa for viewing and minor edits, or a rather old Photoshop Limited Edition 5.0, that came with a scanner I bought years ago, for detailed tweaks. For adjusting

| Minolta (MF) to Canon adaptor? | 15 Oct 2006 18:27 GMT | 9 |
I have a series of what I consider to be very nice minolta lenses from my old manual focus days on an XG-1. I've since switched to Canon gear (still 35mm) and am thinking of finally getting a DSLR now that the RebelXTi is out and somewhat within my currently limited budget. Does

| Canon Software - HELP! | 15 Oct 2006 18:18 GMT | 4 |
I'm trying like heck to get the Canon EOS Capture 1.5 to work, no luck at all. From what I've read, there's a more current program, EOS Utility, that I'd like to try, but on the Canon site, the only dowload option is an updater, not the full program.

| Pentax K100D vs Minolta 7D | 15 Oct 2006 16:34 GMT | 2 |
I'm very interested in stabylization system of K100D, in fact I was going to sell my DL to buy K100D. Looking for it on ebay, I found that Minolta 7D runs out for about the same price.
