| What's the big deal with ISO 3200 Boost? | 09 Sep 2006 06:04 GMT | 15 |
Whenever dSLRs get into a measuring contest with each other, the ISO 3200 "boost" is always being touted as a feature by cameras that have it. For example, I've read on several product reviews that one of Canon 30D's advantages over the puny Digital Rebel is this so-called

| How lenses affect resolution and suggestion | 09 Sep 2006 03:37 GMT | 22 |
I know that two lenses with the same focal distance (i.e. 28mm) may have very distinct qualities, such as resolution and speed (i.e. 1.4 vs 3.5), but I never really understood how optics may affect resolution and how to distinguish (I mean, when you're looking at catalogs) which ...

Been planning to get the 350D for a few months, but heard recently that a new series of digital SLRs from major manufacturers may be released this Autumn. I see Nikon have got one coming. Anyone know about Canon's plans?

Despite all I have read about the theory, I'm still unsure how exactly to set-up my camera. Can someone please advise how I should configure my 300D to achieve this effect either with speedlite or on-board flash. Thanks in anticipation

If you fire off a full burst (whatever that is) from a D50, how long does it take to read the image into the card? Figure HQ or Fine JPEGs.

| D200 owners, pls. do this test for me (and yourselves) | 08 Sep 2006 04:53 GMT | 7 |
I tried sending this beofre but I never saw it appear. Apologies if this is a double post. I've had my D200 for about eight months now. I love it, but it has been plagued with a number of sensor problems.

| Re: D200 shutter release options | 07 Sep 2006 23:09 GMT | 14 |
Can anyone comment further on the wired remote options below? I didn't like the infrared thing for the D70 and would prefer a wired remote shutter release. I also do not understand why such a thing should cost $130 are the extra

| The new Canon 50mm f/1.2L lens question | 07 Sep 2006 18:12 GMT | 6 |
Is the new 50mm f/1.2L lens actually f/1.26, ie 1/3 stop faster than f/1.4 or is it f/1.19, ie 1/2 stop faster than f/1.4? It looks like it might be almost as expensive as a used 50mm F/1.0L which is a full stop faster than the f/1.4.
