The D70 gives you the option of 'optimizing' in the following ways:
-Normal
-Vivid
-Sharp

How do you archive your Photos? Do you store your Raw files on CD? For
those using DNG, do archive both to CD? Together or to separate discs?
What about the touched up photos; Do you store them together or separately?
How do you label your CDs? What software do you use for ...

I am an amateur photographer and am looking at Sigma 70-300mm APO DG
for Canon 350D. I do not intend to blow up the photos or worried about
absolute perfection. Will I be better off gong for the DG version only
which is half the price?

I had the good fortune to use the Nikon D200 for 3 weeks at a newspaper job.

I just downloaded RSE and I've been fooling around with it. As I've read
the manual I saw that RSE doesn't modify the RAW files but creates a record
of adjustments. This raises the question that when I want to work on my
photos in PS7, is there a way that I can save the file in ...

I keep a back-up battery pak (non-rechargeable) in my bag in case my regular
battery goes down. However, the alternate battery source fails to 'energize'
the D70.
Both batteries are fully ready to go and charged.

Having spent a few weeks getting used to my new SLR setup (Canon EOS
350D/Sigma 17-70 f/2.8-4.5 DC macro lens) I can't help but wonder why
none of my photos turn out like the ones I see in the many galleries
online.
