LCD protector30 Aug 2006 21:48 GMT2
Are there inexpensive screen protectors available?  I don't want to pay
$30 for a flip-up screen cover.  Do those PDA screen protectors work on
camera screens?
I just tried using plastic saran wrap, but it left a residue on my LCD.
Any feedback on the Pentax DSLR's? Samsung30 Aug 2006 13:06 GMT10
I know that the Samsung is the same as the Pentax but any feedback on either
brand?
Not particularly a fan of the AA battery option but looking for a quality
DSLR and not to break the bank
Filters30 Aug 2006 11:01 GMT9
Other than polarizing filters, has digital post-processing made most filters
obsolete?
This occurred to me as I was looking through my old film camera bag and came
across with my disused collection of Cokin filters and adapters...

8 X 1030 Aug 2006 00:20 GMT26
Where did 8X10 come from? It is ridiculous to have to shoot and leave
more headroom than necessary just in case you might someday want to
print an 8 X 10. Since 35 MM has been pretty much the standard for an
awfully long time, who decided that an 8X10 was a good print size?
(Hidden Video) My Brother Freaking Out, Again29 Aug 2006 22:55 GMT6
The other day I caught my brother freaking out over my mom not buying
any good food. So I set up a hidden camera. I posted a video a few days
ago and here I got two more clips of him freaking out.

Sensor Cleaning - Question29 Aug 2006 22:47 GMT5
First up let me tell you I don't own a DSLR nor have I ever seen inside one.
I do wish to progress to one as I have (for a long time) been using a film
SLR and my P&S digital doesn't satisfy.
So call me stupid, dumb, etc I don't mind.
Canon 400D; Crow-eating time for some29 Aug 2006 22:35 GMT32
Self-cleaning sensor.  I guess dust motes really DID bother some
people, enough so
Canon made the logical move to this.

its' bigger brother?
Olympus SP 500UZ29 Aug 2006 18:27 GMT1
Just bought the SP500UZ and one strange thing about it is no matter which
image size setting I have it on when I download the photos to Microgrfx the
resolution is 72 dpi (even at SHQ 2816 x 2112) were as the Nikon 4100 is
300dpi.
Old Nikkor AF lenses on D200 ?29 Aug 2006 12:19 GMT25
Somebody suggested to me that my old Nikkor AF 80-200mm f2.8 and 35-70 F2.8
may not be compatible with, say, a new D200.
1 - Is the AF system compatible ?
2 - Are they optically compatible (no shading in corners, etc).
Microsoft couldn't afford a 126 meg CCD29 Aug 2006 11:26 GMT1
So they built a camera with 13 small CCDs in it.  They said that costs
to produce (not that it was impossible) a 126meg CCD were prohibitive.
The camera is called the Ultracam made by a company called, Vexcel and
will be used by Microsoft's Virtual Earth mapping business unit.
