| Nikon D50 and older Nikon lenses | 05 Jul 2006 23:45 GMT | 4 |
I have a friend who had a Nikon F65 and a couple of lenses for it. She has just bought a Nikon D50 and finds that these older lenses will not autofocus on the D50 body. I don't use Nikon so here is my guess:

| Macro/Micro for Nikon | 05 Jul 2006 22:50 GMT | 21 |
Currently I have an older 55mm AI Micro lens, and I'd like to upgrade to a lens with AF and one that will couple to my D70's meter. The only lens I've had a chance to play with is the 105, but I'm kinda leaning towards the 60mm 2.8 now. I'm thinking that the new lens will allow

| Nikon Lens Question ED-IF | 04 Jul 2006 21:33 GMT | 5 |
I underdtand that ED in Nikon lens numbers designates the glass. What is the difference between ED and ED-IF? I was looking at a f/2.8 AF ED lens for a D200 and wondering how it would perform on motion shots? Is there are website that clarifies all this?

| Surfing pics | 04 Jul 2006 06:30 GMT | 7 |
If it's winter in Durban that means its Beach Festival time! I recently obtained a Nikkor 300mm f/4 ED-IF and I am very happy with it. Some people say its auto focus tracking is too slow, but I was using it on a D70 in AF-C mode yesterday and these are some of the shots I got:

| PS action/plugin for correcting fisheye to rectilinear | 03 Jul 2006 12:51 GMT | 4 |
I have a 16mm f/2.8 Nikkor fisheye, which I can't really use on my D70 because of the crop factor. However, I know that the 10.5mm DX can be corrected to rectilinear in Nikon software. Surely the same thing can be done to any other fisheye lens in Photoshop?

| Nikon DSLR viewfinder brightness | 02 Jul 2006 02:20 GMT | 11 |
So is it my imagination or are the viewfinders on D50 and D70 less bright than old film SLRs? How is the D200 in this regard? FWIW, I compared D50 & D70 to N8008s & FM2N. Thanks,
