Will D70 replacement be more "upmarket?"15 Jul 2006 08:49 GMT15
The price of this camera and the D50 are fairly close to each other
now, within $200 and way under the $1000 mark.  Which leaves a pretty
big gap between the D70 and the D200, almost $900.00.  I'm wondering if
unlike Canon with it's XT and 20D/30D, they'll go to a price point like
manual nikon compatible lense in d5015 Jul 2006 08:46 GMT7
I am considering buying my first DSLR, and as I have a Nikon FM2, to
reuse the lenses I have, I am considering either the Nikon D50 or D70s.
>From other posts, I learned that in doing so, you will have to manually
adjust the exposure (or use an external meter).
Nikon Multifunction Battery Pack Vendor Needed14 Jul 2006 14:17 GMT2
Friends,
I have searched the web far and wide for an external multifunction battery
pack for both a d70 and d200 and could not find any.  The only ones I
located are for a d100.  Do they even make them for a d70 and d200 yet?
Just got my D2h...14 Jul 2006 13:36 GMT13
...and I am in awe!
What a great camera! I can't wait to get it home and check it out
properly. Been reading the manual most of the day and it looks like I am
going to have to pay close attention to what is in there if I want this
Question regarding 1.5x lens interpretation14 Jul 2006 06:39 GMT10
Have I got this right?
If I was shooting 35mm, or full frame digital, a 50mm would be a "normal"
lens, and I would probably use an 85mm or 105mm for portraits (I realize
this is a bit subjective, I, personally, really like an 85mm 1.8 for
Photos and Rights14 Jul 2006 03:07 GMT72
Recently I paid high dollar for good seats a Major League Baseball game and
took photos.  I eneded up with some great shots!  Do I have the right to
sell, print or place them on a website for viewing?  I was sure some of you
would know.

Pantone Huey disfunktion?13 Jul 2006 14:02 GMT1
Just got the Huey for calibration of my monitor.
Of course I didn´t expect to get the best at the lowest price, but hoped
for some kind of standard calibration possibility.
Installed and used according to (short)manual and screen commands and
1ds mk2 problem13 Jul 2006 06:43 GMT3
Today a narrow light band has started to appear across the top of all
my images. This hasn't happened before today, but it occurs whichever
lens I use. The band appears marginally wider on the right of the
image than on the left. I would really appreciate any advice anyone
Power a flash with a 12v battery pack?13 Jul 2006 05:16 GMT8
I'm hoping someone here has an inexpensive solution.. I have a 12 volt
battery belt - basically a 12 volt 7 amp hour sealed lead acid
battery. I'd like to be able to power my Promaster 5700 flash from it.
Basically, I'd first need something to go from a cigarette lighter
Newbie Advice Please- Canon EOS350D13 Jul 2006 05:10 GMT6
As a first foray into DSLRs the Canon seems to fit nicely into my budget.
I`ve seen one advertised with 18-55mm lens and was wondering whether this
lens was suitable for fairly close-up work or whether a separate macro lens
would be required?

I have recently upgraded from a Canon 300D to a 30D, to download files from
the Compact Flash Card to my PC I have always used a Card reader and used
Windows to copy the files from the card to the hard disk. I have encountered
a problem when I do this with the 30D.
