| Re-chip | 03 Jun 2006 16:14 GMT | 6 |
I read something about the possibility to "re-chip" the lens to avoid or solve focusing problems. Does someone know anything more about that? May I do it by myself? How?

| Suggestions on how to repair plastic camera case cracks | 03 Jun 2006 14:48 GMT | 28 |
>From a Brit photo mag. They suggest black electrical tape or crazy glue. Anyone with a plastic bodied camera is advised to carry a role or a tube.

| Photographers-Do you think outside the box? | 03 Jun 2006 14:08 GMT | 149 |
Photographers, Do You Think Outside The Box? This week I have tried for something some of my readers may or may not find a little controversial, perhaps even offensive, especially those among who consider themselves to be true artists. Never mind, a little

| What's up with my battery? | 03 Jun 2006 09:00 GMT | 2 |
I have a Canon G2 and I am having trouble with charging the battery. I hook up the camera to the charger until the light turns green but the charge doesn't last long...I haven't counted, maybe 20 pictures until I get the low battery light. It's a lithium battery, I didn't think ...

| D200 on Full-Frame Nikkor lenses; follow-up | 03 Jun 2006 03:37 GMT | 13 |
So for those interested, I had asked this January on this NG about loss of resolution when using a full-frame lens on a smaller detector (essentially you are cropping out resolution). Anyway, I bit the dust and ended up getting a D200 with SB800. Very satisfied. No banding

| Another mag describes 30Ds pictures as less than clear | 03 Jun 2006 03:32 GMT | 20 |
"What Digital Photography" (British) says the shots come out looking "milky." Since we have control of contrast in PS and other post-image programs, it shouldn't make that much of a difference.

| D50 File Numbering | 03 Jun 2006 02:00 GMT | 17 |
Up until now I haven't had enough files on a card to cause the camera to create a second folder. Today I didn't clear the card after downloading a bunch of shots and went out to take a few shots of tonight's sunset.

| Anyone here use an Epson 4800 printer? | 02 Jun 2006 10:05 GMT | 35 |
If so, are you 100% happy with that Epson printer, model 4800? (...or more realistically, 90% happy) ;-) I am seriously contemplating buying the $2,500 "Pro" version of that high-end Epson printer, however I have several questions before I shell

http://tinyurl.com/gnmpw Newbie with D-50 looking for the straight goods on extension tubes for the D-50. Nikon seems to say that the D-50 is not supported.

| Canon EF-S 17-85 (f/4-5.6 IS USM) opinions | 02 Jun 2006 03:00 GMT | 14 |
I'm trying to decide on an SLR system and will go for the Canon Rebel XT/EOS-350D. However, I've learnt that the kit lens (EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6) is of inferior quality, so I'll be buying just the camera body and find myself a better lens to go with it.

| Infrared (87c) and Nikon D-70 | 02 Jun 2006 03:00 GMT | 11 |
Nothing spectacular, but got excited.. Just received a Kodak 87c filter (IR) and Lee gel snap holder. Wasn't totally happy with the Hoya R72. Ran outside and snapped a picture (Nikon D-70) I did it handheld, getting old and shaky, going to head to the park with my tripod...

| Anyone ever used a Epson P-2000 Multimedia Storage Viewer? | 01 Jun 2006 18:29 GMT | 6 |
I was thinking about buying an Epson P-2000 Multimedia Storage Viewer. I have a week-long trip coming up and I expect to take about 200-300 images a day (some raw). I don't want to take my laptop along to download my flash cards (I have two 1 GB cards). My Canon 20D will give me ...
