Nikon D200 verus Fuji S3 versus film16 Jun 2006 01:26 GMT13
This was in the most recent issue of "Amateur Photographer" I saw.
In terms of dynamic range, colour neg. film wins handily on the high
end with 7 stops of "tolerance" above correct exposure.
The Fuji comes in second with 2 stops above the Nikon, but the Nikon

they have achieved.

Flash Diffuser14 Jun 2006 06:22 GMT3
Some time ago I had read about a flash diffuser that was made by (
correct me if I am wrong here) an asian man. I have seen the Stofen and
Lumiquest, also the Omni bounce. But this one was different. You could
use it open or capped off. Anybody know which one I am talking about?
Anyone dealt with this co.?14 Jun 2006 00:10 GMT6
I am going through the usual efforts to save some money on my purchase of a
Canon EOS 30D and am wondering if anyone here has dealt with a firm calling
themselves keydigital, out of the UK..... their price seems good  -
hopefully not too good to be true and I am just wondering if ...
D-50 or D-70 ?13 Jun 2006 21:37 GMT5
Bought a new D-50 not too long ago. I like it, its great. The D-70 has a few
more features.
But....were I to make that decision over, I would get the D-70.
I bought the D-50 with the D-70 kit lens. (18-70mm)

Epson R180013 Jun 2006 12:40 GMT15
My Epson 2200 died last month and I'm loooking to replace it soon.  Was
wondering if anyone out there has real world experience w/the Epson
R1800.  I've seen multiple reviews and they are mostly positive.  Just
wanted a little more input before I make the purchase.

Best lens for D50 tripod-less "museum photography"?12 Jun 2006 21:36 GMT18
I really like my Nikon D50, and I currently own the following lenses: the
inexpensive 18-55 and 55-200 mm Nikkor lenses that came in the camera kit, a
Nikkor 60mm micro lens (I've been having lots of fun with "bug"
photography!), and a recently purchased Nikkor 80-400mm VR lens.  ...

Nikon D50 brochure oddity12 Jun 2006 19:01 GMT1
I was in a store on Sat. and they had a rack of brochures.  You don't
see this much
anymore with the internet, but I leafed through a Nikon brochure for
the D50.  All I can say

My trusty old Sony Trinitron monitor is finally fading to the point I

Teleconverters12 Jun 2006 12:57 GMT20
I'd like to buy a 1.4X telextender for a Canon
telephoto lens.  My choice comes down to the
Canon 1.4X or the Kenko 1.4X.
Any reason to buy the more expensive Canon other
