Warning on Remote Release Cord09 Apr 2006 06:21 GMT21
I recently purchased a MC-DC1 Remote release Cord, from Wolf Camera, for my
Nikon D70s camera.  Much to my surprise it arrived with the following
warning: "Handling the cord on this product will expose you to lead, a
chemical known to the State of California to cause birth ...

Please forgive this dual post but because of the nature of the question
I need to get
varied opinions again, please. I am quite stumped now having read two

Pentax in Peril?08 Apr 2006 18:49 GMT39
I'm now a committed Canon user, so I don't even know why I've become
interested in Pentax. Actually, that's not entirely true... I spent my
first 5 years as a photographer using Pentax cameras and (sometimes)
glass, and even though I think they've totally botched their DSLR

Domke F-5XB08 Apr 2006 14:16 GMT1
Will it hold 20D + 24-105 & 10-22 with either one of the lenses attached
to the camera and the other one detached, along with a flash 580ex? I
already have the F2 but want a small bag in different style too. It
looks great for other purposes (except the large DOMKE badge).
EOS 650 lenses08 Apr 2006 10:53 GMT3
Are the lenses from the old film canon EOS 650 compatible with the new
canon digital SLRs? I have zoom, wide angle, closeup and a microscope
mount and am wondering whether to upgrade the body of my camera.
Thanks,
How would lens optics/engineering drive toward an optimal sensor/film size?08 Apr 2006 04:49 GMT31
I have learned a lot as the practitioners and engineers and such (you
know who you are :-)  have debated sensor size, physics, angles, and
limits.
The related question I have is, if we started with some goals for the

Sending photo files from remote locations:07 Apr 2006 22:58 GMT3
Some of you are undoubtedly professional news photographers.  My question
is: How do you transmit your photos to your newspaper or AP or whatever?  Do
you carry your laptop everywhere?  Can you send them using a PDA?  Just
curious.
RAW file sizes - Pentax vs Nikon07 Apr 2006 21:30 GMT13
My Pentax (*1stDS) RAW files (PEF) average out at a little more than 10Mb
(10-11.2).
My Nikon (D50) NEF files average out at around 5.5Mb (5.8-6.1).
So how come, given that they use the same sensor?
aaww c'mon guys!07 Apr 2006 20:55 GMT9
How fast a card can i use in a 20D before it becomes a waste of money.
lens compatibility07 Apr 2006 17:50 GMT4
I have have a 52mm close up lense for a canon EOS film 650. I was
wondering if I could also use it on my digital powershot A75? The
powershot A75 says it takes a 52mm close up lense (250D) if I buy an
adaptor. The adaptor is very cheap but the custom close up lense is

Battery Grip info please07 Apr 2006 12:31 GMT5
I know the battery grip for the Canon 350XT will hold 2 batteries.
Question that I have is, will it work with only one battery installed
or do you have to have two installed for it to work.
Thanks for any info you can give me.
