I have searched for jpeg compression programs, even downloaded a couple

I've used Nikon's Nikon View4 software to load image files at different
resolutions (same as taken, 1040x728, 640x480, etc... numbers not

Anyone use a LCD hoods for their DSLR?23 Apr 2006 17:34 GMT43
I was wondering if anyone has used one of those LCD screen cover (hoods)
that help protect and flight glare on your camera's LCD screen. I see
Hoodman makes them. The ones at the local store are in blister packs so I
can't try one.

I just recently got a 4GB CF card to use with my Nikon D70.
Playing with the modes, I discover that I can get over 15000 images
(camera estimated) using the "Small" format, and the "Basic" level of
JPEG compression.

Next question: D50 lenses22 Apr 2006 00:44 GMT24
OK, it looks like I'm going to be going for the Nikon D50. I can get the
2 lens kit (18-55mm and 55-200mm) for $820 delivered....or I could get
the D50 body only + the 18-70mm lens that normally comes with the D70s
for about $870.

Substitute for Speedlite flashes? (First post!)21 Apr 2006 19:19 GMT19
Hi - I've been lurking since buying my first slr (a Canon 350D) a couple

I'm interested in picking up a good flash, but find the Speedlite 430EX

Need recommendation for a book on posing21 Apr 2006 00:15 GMT6
Can some recommend a book which illustrates how to pose people for
portraits. I would love a book that would show full body poses and posing
shots outside the studio.  I saw a few books that show lots of upper body
indoor type portraits, but they were too focused as such.
