Can a D200's batteries be recharged from a 12V DC source
(i.e. cigarette lighter outlet on a car or boat)?

I'm curious if anyone has used a lens like the 18-200mm w/VR?  
If so, have you done any battery life measurements (formal or
informal) as a result of it?

I'm planning to take some photography classes in the fall at my local
community college and i've been having trouble deciding whether to
start with a film or digital SLR camera. the only real appeal i see
with digital is that any mistakes i make while learning won't cost me

Yesterday I was looking at a bird's feathers through the viewfinder of
my EOS 350D, and noticed a moire pattern at certain focal lengths.  I
tried looking at a computer monitor and got a stronger pattern.  So
what's in the optical path to the viewfinder that could do this?

I discovered (perhaps misguided?) that if I zero out all the adjustments
in ACR (Adobe Camera Raw) except white balance, and save as 16 bit, the
result has enough information to do anything that ACR will do for

I Have an old canon EOS 3000 film SLR with a 35-80 zoom lense.
If I buy a Nikon D50 body only, can I attach the above lense to it?
If "no" then is there any adapter or thing I can do to make it fit ?
