8MP vs 10MP, an informal test08 Mar 2006 14:08 GMT13

Underwater Photography and SLR's08 Mar 2006 07:10 GMT14

I know the quality would be better but would the cost versus the quality be
worth the expense?

Calculating subject distance06 Mar 2006 21:59 GMT11
Just a note to my fellow photographers. If you're ever taking a
photograph of a helicopter and it comes so close you could almost touch
it, cover up the camera and run! Don't do what I did yesterday and, like
a total idiot, keep snapping the damn thing as it gets lower and lower, ...

Sigma 30mm F1.4 EX DC HSM (APS 45mm eq. prime) $450
I'm making a separate thread for this after Alfred's post about some new
4/3 lenses. It seems a useful lens for a crop fram dSLR, although not
cheap, the normal field of view is still a very important thing. A quick

I thought I fully understood the diference between slow sync and rear
curtain, but yesterday my D70s decided to throw a spanner in the ...

Wide-Angle Lens Recommendations for Canon SLR Digital Camera?05 Mar 2006 02:56 GMT14
Recently I bought the Canon EOS Digital Rebel XT 8.0-Megapixel SLR
Digital Camera. So far I love this camera. I'm purely a novice
photographer and take photos as a hobby, whenever time permits.
I've been looking around for a reasonably priced wide-angle lens for
Arthur & Martha05 Mar 2006 02:47 GMT13
Anyone running with both Nikon and Canon DSLR systems?
I've somehow ended up buying a D2Hs and 1Ds within the space of a couple of
weeks and having a hard time letting go of one.

I'm looking at getting all peripherals(DSLR, monitor, scanner, and
