I've just bought a second-hand EOS350D.
The handbook reads as though this camera can be used with flashguns other
than the Canon EX series but with limitations.

Hello, would like a few opinions on Calibration software/Hardware.  Have
been referred to the Spyder2PRO system.  The two reviews I have read said
this is the best system in their opinion.
How do you feel, what do you use, how often, and does it do LCD's well.

Can anybody indicate what the current wait for Nikkor 18-200 AFS VR lens is right now?  I note that just about all vendors have this lens back ordered.

line?  Doing so is common in many lines of tech gear, but I haven't
been able to find them on the camera manufacturer web sites.  Am I

This is the first time I've used digital. I shot a few frames this
morning, loaded them into the computer and deleted the ones I didn't

Why do some DSLRs have a B&W mode?  Is there any advantage to shooting in
B&W vs. shooting in color and converting to B&W in PhotoShop?  Either way,
you're throwing away data, and it seems to make sense to throw it away as
late as possible.  Or is there more to it than that?

I am a new comer to world of photography....I started with a Fuji
Finepix S5500 and soon realized that its not enough for me...So I
started searching for a better camera and ended up with a choice of
Canon Digital Rebel XT (EOS 350D).Now it is time to choose a lens..

I'm just starting to research DSLRs to replace my 25 years of investment in
the OM-2 system.  My only experience with digital so far is a Cannon
PowerShot (which is wonderful for what it's designed to do).
The one feature the Olympus E-series seems to have which nobody else does

10D.  My initial feeling is good, I like the almost instant on, the 5fps
shooting is almost scary just thinking at the number of shots to look at
