Advice re Canon equipment choice please25 Mar 2006 22:42 GMT7
Current camera:  Canon D30 (the original first generation dslr)
Current wide angle lens: Canon 20-35mm f3.5-4.5
Problem: I want wide angle capability down to about the equivalent of a 24mm
lens in 35mm format.
Canon 500D25 Mar 2006 21:43 GMT3
I sold the 100mm macro but I want to have some macro fun back! I tried a
Canon EF25II extension tube, but it's awfully hard to use and pretty
expensive for essentially just air. :) Well, I would like to know how
difficult to the 500D on 300/4 and optional 1.4x tele or possibly
UK - Konica Minolta film and digital bargains25 Mar 2006 13:39 GMT6
For UK buyers, Morgan Computers are offering a range of Konica Minolta
film and digital items at extremely low prices.  Some are brand new,
but most are "as new" implying they are probably service returns.
Examples include:
D70 dust not on the sensor but viewable in the viewfinder25 Mar 2006 12:29 GMT5
I have successfully SensorSwiped my sensor clean, taken some pure blue
sky shots at aperture 16, and the sensor is now very clean.  But
looking through the EVF I can clearly see lint dust etc in there.
Driving me nuts....
CANON EF-S 17-85MM f/4-5.6 IS USM25 Mar 2006 06:57 GMT1
I have come across a good price for the above lens in the UK although
the seller imported it from the US.  Are there any differences to the UK
& US models I should be aware of?
Cheers
Concert shots with Rebel XT Suggestions Please25 Mar 2006 06:29 GMT13
I'd like some input regarding shooting at concerts.  I'm using the EF-S
17-85mm f/4-5.6 IS USM for most of the shots and also have a EF 70-300mm
f/4-5.6 IS USM.  I'm not looking at shooting at large arena type concerts
but the more intimate concert venues where on would be 10 to ...

Canon EOS350D/Rebel XT - Depth of field problems24 Mar 2006 12:58 GMT33
My wife has an Olympus digital 'instamatic' type of camera (3
megapixels) that takes excellent quality photographs. She uses it on
the fully automatic mode with no problems whatsoever.
We did though both want a digital SLR and the extra flexibility that
If a 10M DSLR can only take 1GB memory card, what will happen?24 Mar 2006 11:06 GMT25
Well, the coming Pentax 10M DSLR is a DSLR using SD memory card:-

However, common/industrial standard of SD card is bounded at the 1GB

Semi Hard Case for Canon Rebel XT (350D)24 Mar 2006 07:07 GMT4
Has anyone used the Canon EH-18L case for the 350D?  Is it good or annoying?
Thank you for your responses.
Best Online Place For Photo Enlargements24 Mar 2006 05:07 GMT4
Now that I have my new Canon Digital XT - where can I get good quality
enlargements at a good price? Has anyone had experience with Costco's online
prints?
Also, can you get a decent 16 x 20 enlargement out of a Raw image off of the
digital files24 Mar 2006 03:24 GMT8
Is there anyway to change nef. files to jpegs?  I took an sd card out
of my girl friends cool pix 5600 and stuck it in my new D-50.  What is
there to be learned by this fatal error? :) Thanks.
Nikkor 18-200 on a full-frame sensor?23 Mar 2006 14:11 GMT45
I'm slowly gravitating towards getting either a Nikon D70 or D200 with the
Nikkor 18-200 mm f/3.5-5.6G DX ED VR lens that people are raving about.  In
my film days, I almost exclusively stuck with primes, but what I'm reading
about the Nikkor 18-200 is good enough to make me ...
bulb23 Mar 2006 12:18 GMT5
I want to take a long exposure of the night sky with my Nikon D50. I
have a Sigma 28-300 lens. I am using the camera setting "M" and "MF"
and trying to set the shutter spped to "bulb" (as it indicates in the
manual) so that I can use my wireless remote. I do not seem to be able
