| ND filter questions... | 03 Mar 2006 15:40 GMT | 15 |
For taking long exposures in daylight with a DSLR. Is there a system available with a very strong ND filter, that you can "drop in" or simply fit, rather than screw in? I see that Hoya make an ND 400 (approx 9 stops) filter, but can only

| Canon 20D Flash Issue | 02 Mar 2006 23:22 GMT | 4 |
My 20D works great in daylight. When using a flash, the images always seem underexposed. This happens with the on board flash or an external unit. (Sigma EF-500 DG Super) I have to adjust the flash compensation up to +2 to get a proper

| 20D forced D100 to "evolve." | 02 Mar 2006 21:22 GMT | 16 |
Notice that the casing of the D200 is now magnesium instead of the "high impact" plastic of the D100. This no doubt cost Nikon considerably more money, but from a marketing standpoint, it made good sense. Not all marketing orientation is purely to sell. Some of it

| Pentax screw mount adapter? | 02 Mar 2006 20:31 GMT | 3 |
A friend of mine has several old screw mount Pentax lenses. He wants to get a digital SLR. Does Pentax make an adapter so that he could use these lenses with a current model?

| Sigma 10-22mm softness/blurring problems | 02 Mar 2006 15:30 GMT | 9 |
I've been using the sigma 10-20mm f/4-5.6 EX DC HSM lens on my Canon 350D and noticed some softness/blurring on the right hand side of images. Has anyone else experienced this and is it a common issue with these lenses or have I been unlucky in buying a 'Friday afternoon' lens?

| Question regarding other NG's | 02 Mar 2006 04:15 GMT | 9 |
1- Do you participate or lurk in the rec.photo.equipment.35mm newsgroup? 2- If you answered "no" to the above, are you interested in participating in the "Shoot-in"? It is a casual bi-weekly photo assignment with mandates and 16 days to complete the mandate. All

| Canon 350D reliability issues? | 02 Mar 2006 01:12 GMT | 4 |
I've seen quite a few body-only 350D's on sale marketed as 'B-Grade Stock' or 'Factory Refurb', and I'm wondering if this is due to specific reliability issues with this camera, or just the fact that it's so popular, and naturally there's more of them sold to go wrong?

| help with manual focus on Rebel XT | 02 Mar 2006 00:33 GMT | 53 |
I was wanting longer focal lengths for my Canon Digital Rebel XT without spending a huge pile more money so I purchased two methods to compare. 1. A 2x teleconvertor to mount to my Canon EF 70-300mm F4-5.6 IS lens. 2. A Quantaray 500mm F8 mirror lens and nice solid T-Mount to EOS ...

| Framing and determining appropriate size to print | 02 Mar 2006 00:24 GMT | 5 |
My question is regarding framing, interior design considerations and determining the appropriate size to print a 6MP photo. I'll be honest, these are not the sharpest pics possible from a Nikon D70 with fancy lenses but they are pretty damn good and suitable for the client

| can I get anything that'll replace my Contax 159 | 01 Mar 2006 23:48 GMT | 3 |
I've been a long time landscape photographer and have used Yashica and then Contax SLRs since 1984. I love my old Contax 159 - it's light, falls perfectly into my hand, and with various Yashica lenses and the wonderful Contax Zeiss 28mm it takes some great photos. However I

| Sigma 10-20mm for Canon | 01 Mar 2006 22:12 GMT | 23 |
This lens is said to be designed for digital cameras. Does that mean it has the same short back focus as the Canon EF-S lenses? Does anyone have any experience with this lens? I'm about to buy either this or the Canon 10-22mm and I'm on the edge. The Sigma is about $200 less

| Sigma 30mm f1.4 Opinion | 01 Mar 2006 15:29 GMT | 7 |
I have an Oly DSLR (currently the E300 model) and I have read that Sigma is going to be releasing the 30mm F1.4 in a 4/3 mount and am seriously considering getting it. (Reminds me of my first SLR with a 50mm 1.4 lens.) Since the lens is already out for Canon, Nikon and Sigma ...
