Size of prints in living rooms? (Might be OT?)07 Dec 2005 15:34 GMT17
A friend of mine that went to Scotland wants to put a photo, or photos
from our Scotland holiday in her living room.  These were shot with a
Canon Digital Rebel in jpg mode.  Most were shot with the kit lens,
however a few were shot with a Canon 70-300 telephoto lens.

Longest focal length with Canon Digital Equipment06 Dec 2005 02:45 GMT60
I'm getting frustrated at the lack of reach with my present equipment
(70-200 + 2.0 Teleconverter on 20D) (640mm equivalent all up).
Can anyone tell me what camera / lens combination would give the longest
reach whilst still retaining AF (even at the centre AF point only is
Sigma and Tamron 18-200s = Junk?06 Dec 2005 00:28 GMT61
Based on the reviews in the latest "Outdoor Photographer" magazine, it
seems so.  The Tamron was attacked for having bad image quality and
the Sigma was too, but the Sigma also maxed out at 150mm, not the
200mm claimed, compared to a Canon the author tested it against.
Macro Lens for Canon Digital Rebel05 Dec 2005 21:04 GMT11
I'm thinking about purchasing a Macro for my Digital Rebel 300 and I
am looking at either the Tokina 100/2.8 or the Canon 100/2.8. What are
the pros and cons of these lenses and in fact a Macro Lens itself

Canon EOS 300D Battery Replacement05 Dec 2005 20:06 GMT9
I need a new rechargeable battery for my Canon 300D.
The Canon batteries are 4x the cost of the independent brands.
Do they really warrant the price?

Canon's RS-80n3 Remote switch05 Dec 2005 02:52 GMT3
I have the Canon RS-80n3 which I am using for remote control on my 20D.
However the cable is only 2 !/2 feet long. This is much to short for what I
want to do. There is a cable extension cord available (Canon ET-1000N3) but
the price is about $75.00. A lot more than I want to spend. ...

that one but you can just set what you want of course.
This the full list.
Crop factor and lens resolution04 Dec 2005 00:31 GMT12
In terms of getting the maximum power together with the maximum usable
details and sharpness from a particular telelens, I wonder which option
