Lenses For Macro Photography12 Dec 2005 02:27 GMT16
I recently bought a D70s with a 18-70 lens.  I want to get into macro
photography but my lens does not work well in that case.  I have read
that some people use 105mm and 60mm lenses.  Can anyone recommend a
good macro lens?
Digital Rebel XT - lense advice11 Dec 2005 16:38 GMT33
Santa is bringing me a Digital Rebel XT (I've been good this year).  I
hear that the lense which comes with it isn't ideal, and I may want to
invest in a better one.
I've read lots of different opinions - too many to formulate an answer!
20D ?? 5D11 Dec 2005 16:27 GMT27
Has there been any comparison on Hi ISO settings of the two cameras.
There was some reports on a banding problem with the 20D , has there any
problems with the 5D. If no banding problems are found with the 5D, then
that is the way to go. I just hate it when a Product has ...
Minolta 5D vs. Nikon D5011 Dec 2005 15:37 GMT9
In trying to choose my first DSLR I've noticed something. Everyone
leans towards either Nikon or Canon. Why has Minolta been left out in
the cold?
I already own a Minolta 600si. I'd like to be able to use its Sigma

Looking for Canon 28-135 IS10 Dec 2005 17:55 GMT4

True or false?10 Dec 2005 03:37 GMT15
Investing in better lenses and a Canon 20D will result in better
photos than spending the extra money on a 5D and buying modest glass?
I've seen shots taken with both cameras and I just don't see a huge
difference, even with 100% crops.  Certainly not as much as between

Alternative to Canon 24-70 f2.8L09 Dec 2005 13:23 GMT11
Really would like one but it is way over budget.
So does anyone have any experience with the alternatives
like the Sigma 24-70 f2.8 or the Tamron 28-75 f2.8 or
the Tokina 28-80 f2.8?
Pentax dslr (1stDL)  and flash selection09 Dec 2005 01:12 GMT1
Is there any worthwhile alternative to the Pentax 360 flash?
I  looked  at Digi-slave and other Vititar/Sigma alternative. None of
them
had positive review.
What's an "effective pixel"?09 Dec 2005 01:08 GMT53
After 25 years with my OM-2, a couple of years ago I broke down and got a
Cannon PowerShot.  Great little camera, but I'm ready to move up.  One
thing I'm thinking of is the Olympus E-500, but I'm a long way from
plunking down any money yet.

Canon 20D with 2.0.3 Firmware
EFS18-55mm lens (Cheap but sharp enough for now.)
EF 70-200 f/4 L (Very sharp)
When I use manual fucussing the results are sharp.
Panorama shots and ideal overlap08 Dec 2005 20:54 GMT24
Dear members:
I am purchasing a special tripod head for panorama shots and have some
questions for the group.
1. how can I determine what the nodal point for my lens is ? I have looked
